Will We Ever Connect The Dots?

From the run up to this war, to the continued waste of human life, we have not connected a logical series of dots that would explain and free us from this war.

We know the truth; I almost hate to say it because its been said so much. There were know WMDs, which were the primary reason given for going into this war. Well get this. Today, our president reflected on what he told Saddam Hussein he needed to do to prevent this war. Give up the WMDs and disarm. I recall Hussein's officials frantically denying any existence of WMDs or any plans to acquire them. Our president had the nerve to say it was Hussein's choice to go to war because he would not heed his warnings.

The saddest thing concerning Bush's reflection is he could not say there were no WMDs, and he was wrong. After 600,000 lives loss, this Mother f*cker is still talking as though he found the WMDs. Hell, look at the video just before this one. He is either drinking or in denial so deep he cannot face any reality associated with the massive loss of human life. He has to obtain some sense of glory or he has to face the fact he is the same murderer Hussein is.

Even more sadder then Bush's inability to accept the truth is the media's inability to report the most obvious portion of the speech he gave today. This man said Hussein's failure to heed his warnings and disarm resulted in him losing his life. No one reported this obvious inability to trace the most important factors concerning this war. This is a man who is the most powerful person in this world.

I employ everyone to look at the video concerning Bush's attempt to insert Al Qaeda in Iraq, just before this one. Tell me what would do you say about this reality?

Lastly, I apologize for this post being so scattered. When I see the kind of ugly-ness shown in this video, I get pissed off and emotionally driven.

They Hope He Does Not Run

The Republicans are scared shitless of Al Gore. Behind Gore's current fame lies an formidable opponent for which the Republicans cannot match with their current slate of candidates.



Since Gore left the political arena, he has increased his speaking abilities two fold. Gore can move people with his motivational style of speaking better than anyone currently running for president. This is a fact not known by most Democrats. I personally feel Gore speaks better then Barack Obama and Clinton. That puts him up there with the best.



Gore would be the ideal candidate to address the abuses of the Oil companies. Who better to lead the fight against the Oil Companies and the cable news companies who have taken to the airways twice an hour telling their viewers to believe the Oil companies absurd reasoning for high prices. MSNBC should be boycotted for this kind of propaganda.



In all, Gore is the man for my money. I am very sure America will respond to his motivational style. Lets go Gore.

False Comparisons Make Way For Killing Field

There has been a up tic in claims Al Qaeda is behind much of the killing in Iraq. In most news coming out of Iraq about attacks on Americans and civilians, there has been an overuse of the word "suspected to be" and "sources say" Al Qaeda is behind the attacks on American solders. Because we stop going after the people who brought down the two towers, Bush has taken a lot of heat. This heat has brought about attempts to make the case Al Qaeda has taking over Iraq. The premise Al Qaeda is behind all and every attack coming out of Iraq is another way of asking permission to kill more Iraqis. Many Americans want to see Al Qaeda whipped off the face of the earth.

There are two important facts about this current attempt to strengthen the claim Al Qaeda is firmly embedded in Iraq:

1. The first is now the war in Iraq is now connected to 911. Yes, they are trying to make the case we cannot leave Iraq because Al Qaeda is there. How is that for making it so? If you cannot find Al Qaeda, bring Al Qaeda to Iraq.

2. The other reason is the only way they can really do something about the violence in Iraq is to address the direct true elements causing the war. Since the Bush administrations say there is no civil war, they have got to find a way to eliminate one side of the civil war. Thus, any over kill can be assumed to be Al Qaeda's demise. This amounts to creating a killing field.

The Bush administration cannot do this alone. They need someone to disburse this lie Al Qaeda is behind all the killing in Iraq. Enter the media: Fox news and the Fox wantabees. Look for a lot of "framing the issue" kind of news. CSPAN's Washington Journal will do it with a question: Should we leave Iraq if Al Qaeda is so entrenched in the Iraq?

The lies and misdirection concerning this war never seem to stop. Before believing anything coming out Iraq, it is almost a must to second guess its content.

Who Will Connect The Dots Now?

This has got to be the 64 billion dollar question: Can we now, based on FACTS, bring all of our "dots" together to make a case for impeachment? If not please state why _________________.

This statement or question is for the media as well as the public. Some how, there is a "ghost block" preventing this country from acting in a rational manner.

This president is responsible for killing close to 1 million people, and yet we don't even want to say the word IMPEACHMENT. Our congress, senate, judges, Generals, and voting public have been educated from the best schools this world has to offer, and they cannot "connect these dots" that now stand out like an emergency signal. Some how we have put a regulator on the truth in this country. One big example of that is the FACT there was no WMDs, but there is still 29% of Americans who want to KILL anyway. What the hell is really going on? I say take a deep breath, and examine what you could never get away with as a citizen. This country needs to drop this notion that we have to "Win This Thing." WIN WHAT. The right to kill more innocent Iraqis, or shell I say "collateral damagees."

Yes, now there is talk about putting a "strong" man in Iraq to quiet the warring factions. After that is done, then they will place a democratic government in power. What they really mean is kill untold thousands more Iraqis to wipe out anyone not fighting for the Americans. After the killing is done, then, yes you guessed it, we continue to close our eyes as we have been doing.

It's coming to this rage in me, and I just don't want to take it anymore. We were once a proud nation in my life time. To see that image wiped out in 6 years have hurt me more then my personal life losses. This has got to stop.

What Car Bombs!

I have heard everything. Now, the Bush administration has stop counting car bombs. No wonder Bush has been claiming there has been a drop in violence since the surge.

There has been a surge in media propaganda. CNN's Michael Ware has toned down his bleak assessment of the Iraqi troop occupation to say, in affect, in spite of our solders being picked off in a military quagmire, we should still continue our occupation of Iraq. To see Ware and Kyra Phillips sitting in a chair side by side resembled two kids being chastised for saying bad things.

Ware contends "we broke it; we have got to fix it." This brings into question is there a inherent biases associated with interacting with military personal. With so much emotional realities about, the opportunity to bond is increased ten fold. People bond through emotions. 9/11 will contest to that. To have our troops, Iraqi troops and the Iraqi civilian population dying around you, the moment to bond is as common as air.

The other side of this is the wantabee like Fox dynamic being carried out by the CNNs and MSNBCs of the world. These networks compete 24-7 for the conservative markets that spend big advertising dollars. Yes there is money behind this shit too.

The Huckabee Line

I just watched Governor Huckabee increasing the fear ante by using a genocidal hypothetical should we withdraw our troops. This means the Republicans have already made any negative outcome associated with a US withdrawal from Iraq with be the fault of the Democrats. A prediction that will come true no matter when we leave.

Now, the Republicans feel they have the rational for not acting in the will of the American people. "It might come down to doing what is right, in spite of what the polls say. We cannot leave the Middle East to a ethnic cleansing or genocide," Huckabee said. That is fear with a capital "F." You don't get anymore phonier than that; I just hope the American people can see this overused tactic.

We need to tell the president and the Republicans to save the fear for a useful Halloween. For once we must ask the Republicans to say what they mean without fear. I am willing to bet they will change the subject quick; real quick.

At every opportunity, we must give our representatives who are doing what they were put into office to do our support. That support does not always have to come in the form of money. If you dispel a talking point, deliver inspiration, or volunteer you time, you will be doing your part to right the wrongs of the pass 6 to 12 years.

Who Is Responsible

How can we say we improved the Iraqi's standard of living? The US has made a mess out of Iraq. No hype. This is the real consequences of our actions: We have brought nothing but death, destruction and pure hell to the Iraqi civilian population.


What can we "win" from this situation? Have we even defined victory in Iraq? I hope Bush's intention are noble because, I will not support any attempt to steal Iraq's oil.

The sad thing is we have already did so much to ruin Iraqi lives. Many of the civilian will be messed up for their short time on this earth. I am not sure the average American really gives a dime for the suffering Iraqi.

We don't even acknowledge Iraqi loss in the same way we acknowledge our own. Since we have been in this war, the number of Iraqis killed on a daily bases far out number American solders. It is almost like we have dehumanized Iraqi life just enough so Americans back at home will not be outraged at the staggering losses brought on by OUR involvement in Iraq. Could that be why we called Iraqi civilian loss "collateral damage?"

I truly, from the bottom of my heart, hope the unnecessary killing and destruction stops soon before it reaches genocidal preportions -- if it has not already.

Developing Reality Perspective

Paul Rieckhoff exposes a disconnect between propaganda and the truth. While the White House is working hard to minimize realities, they could crate a situation that kills more Americans.

This whole thing is sad. Bush is incompetent and should not be running this war from "his" commander and chief position. I state this with a sense of urgency because I, like Harry Reid, don't want another drop of blood lost to this senseless and unnecessary war. The loss is too precious, and President Bush appears to be "winging" his position as the leader to the most powerful nation in the world.

If the Bush administration, the Republicans, the Democrats, and the press won't force the reality perspective, we as activist and voters must make it the dominant conversation in the Blogging world and any other medium we can use. I know I am serious enough to remove the denial that keeps us in this horrible war and put in its place a truth's perspective to what lead to this war, what motives we use to stay in this war, and what realities make it necessary to remove our troops from this no win scenario.

We must keep the logic flow simple. What we say and continue to see did and is happening. No more rational explanation based in a small avenue of doubt. When the truth is looking at you, call it what it is, not what someone else explains what it is. In short, this war must end.

Media's Senseless Agenda

The media is in need of a serious overhaul.

News has taken a
serious "hit" to the quality of their objective, reporting and
fairness. Since the Fox news success with conservative audiences, CNN
and MSNBC has actively positioned themselves to compete with the big
money Fox enjoys. This is a fact not an opinion.

The unfairness associated with media's move to the right has no equal
dynamic to counter the now flooded cheep format right-wing news
generates. Even CSPAN practices a right-wing format on their
Washington Journal. CSPAN is in so much denial about their move to the
right, and as a result, they tend to play a patronizing concept to
fairness.

So, when you get the feeling the news host or
commentator is being unfair, he/she probably are. Actually, the
arrogance that accompanies the conservative formats is insulting to
one's intelligence. CSPAN's call in structure is set up to give the
impression the country is split down the middle on all conservative vs
liberal debate issues. They have one phone line for the right, one phone line for
the left, and one phone line for the independent. About 70% percent of their
guest are conservative. They often make a request for conservative
callers only without doing the same for the left at an equal rate.

When you hear the right claiming we live in a left-wing bias news monopoly,
it's not true. They call the right wing claim "playing the ref."

For the left, the fight to regain balance is not just in the executive
branch of government. It is the media routed strongly, so they have
their work "cut out" for them to even the political play field.

Lies vr Reality

I hope the Bush administration and our military are not becoming victims of their own propaganda. Along the lines of believing their own lies, I hope they have not created a alternate reality that is too far from what is really going on in Iraq.

Maybe they were all out looking for cheep rugs. You have to believe a lot of energy has to spent to keep the lies about this war believable. This effort may be the very thing that is keeping our military from being affective.So, have we sent our solders to Iraq to become fresh meat for the insurgency to pick off ten at a time -- as opposed to one at a time?

Yes we may well be mind screwing ourselves for the sake of rugs and propaganda.I don't think this is funny at all. But when you look at the outrages statements and comments being made by the right-wing congressional and senatorial representatives visiting our troop, you have to make them aware of shit for brains comments and statements they bring back to the American people.

It is really becoming evident, we cannot ask our troops to hold out until the surge starts to "kick in." Every life is too precious to factor in the lost of human life for success in Iraq. This war must stop and, in it's place, a serious effort, grounded in the truth, must be put in its place.

Yes, we broke it and must own it, but I will be dam if we have to do stupid shit to fulfill a group of war mongers desire to "win this thing."If we want victory, it will have to take on peaceful attributes design to problem solve this terrible situation we have created.

The Many Drum Beats Of Iraq

I have come to the conclusion we have not grasped the magnitude surrounding every contributing element fueling this war. With the understated hundreds of thousands of Iraqi protesting on the anniversary of this war, a clear message was sent to America to get out of Iraq.

Does the United States military have to suffer a slaughter to see was is so clearly on the horizon? I sure hope not, but sometimes if you see your strengths from another ankle you empower yourself or objectives.

With our so-called smart bombs, we have killed a many innocents. This fact alone is responsible for brother, sister, mother, father, uncle and the dog becoming insurgents. Multiply that dynamic by 4 years and you have insurgency from hell.

I don't know about you, but it takes more than the desire to "win this thing" for me to be patriotic about this war. I refuse to get behind this president for a "pick of the week" rational for killing so many. I am not sure if the supporters of this war even know what they want. They say we need to "win this thing" and in the next statement proclaim it's the Iraqi responsibility to defend their own country. So is "Winning this Thing" training the Iraqis to defend their land? If so, why do we need the show of so much force? Hell, we can train them and go home. What a sweet victory that will be.

I remember a unprecedented move to train our military in civilian crowd control tactics. This happen last year and it was controversial because it was considered a move that could give the executive branch too much power. I feared it was Bush's slow move to a dictatorship.

As it stands, 70% of the American people want this war over with. The other 30% want to "win this thing." I don't know about you, but it looks like we may be headed down the road I feared. Bush refuses to hear the will of the American people and is lining up to make moves on other countries like Iran and Syria.

When Will we say enough Mr Bush it's time to listen to the American voice to stop this war?

Is It Now Over?

Don Imu's actions was a very difficult complex story to write on. In one way, I wanted to say give the guy a break, let him say he's sorry and go back to work.

While having that fleeting opinion, Don Imus blurted out "you people" on the Al Sharpton radio show. He then went on to say black rappers were,in part, the reason he made the statement.I then changed my opinion and sentiments to maybe he does bare some unpopular racial views. Often, people who have negative racial feelings toward a group or race, qualify their good actions as proof they don't have any racial problems: "Some of by best friends are black."

Still, as Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton made this a national outrage, I could help but feel this was still not being addressed in a fair manor.

There has been shock jocks who offend minorities, handicaps, homosexuals and the elderly. Why has it taken Jackson and Sharpton, and the rest of the do gooders, so long to say this kind of speech is hurtful?

Can we say Bill O'Reilly, Russ Limbaugh, Mike Savage and the many others right-wing hate mongers, have not crossed the very line Imus in being fried for?

I truly hope what comes out of this a better standard to hold the shock jock to. After this, maybe it will be harder for someone to say the things that shock and offend others. Nobody given the power to reach the masses in the way Imus could should be allowed to spread hatred. Not just Don Imus and rappers.

Slow Down The Fight; We Must Make It Right

The recently fired US attorneys story heard in a Congressional hearing yesterday could bring all the president's me down. It is hard for the White House to use the defense of reducing the issue to public debate.

In essence, the Bush administration is trying to strong arm our system of justice. They have a lot of media support for this dynamic. Today, CSPAN's Washington Journal tried to frame a dynamic that would give Bush unreasonable powers. Brian Lam posed the question: Is it okay for our Government to lie to us. I say this is a form of framing an issue, and like always, Washington Journal's style is subtle but always to the right of the political spectrum. CSPAN is one of many right-wing shows given the silent task of framing the conservative agenda.

The Democrats have many mandates. They must not reduce their efforts to respect the people's wishes by doing every mandate at the same time.

As it stands the Republicans appear to be geared up to fight against the people's will all the way to the next election and we must let them. When the 2008 election arrive, the voters will have a fresh perspective of who has been obstructive in the process to give the people what they want.

Who Do We Support: Our Troops Or Bush?

Is there a difference between supporting the troops and supporting George Bush? To support the troops is to do whatever is in their best interest. This may not be what our president think is the best for our troops, especially when our president continues to connect the wrong dots to our current involvement and run up to the war.

If I never hear we must fight them over there so they do not come over here, it will be too soon. That does not make a bit of sense, yet this is now one of Bush’s primary reasons for fighting this war. Behind the noted rational to fight in Iraq is a silent statement: We must kill in the Middle East because those people don’t mean as much as Americans. Bush’s assertion silently says every Islamic terrorist in the World reside in Iraq, or at least the ones with a ticket to America. The terrorist in Afghanistan don’t have the money to come to America. How convenient is that?

We, the Democrats, must do the right thing that is based in past truths. Let the Republicans continue to support George Bush, with little true consideration for the well being of our troops. History will record, after the truth smacks Americans in the face, the Democrats attempted to deescalate this useless war. At least some could rest with the fact they tried to do right thing.

Who Is Doing Well?

I am not surprised to see the many complaints about our so-called trieving economy. Everyone with no money can't wait to say something is not being considered when they evaluate our economy.

I recall before the start of the 2004 presidential campaign there was serious concerns for the state of our economy. During this time, Bush started counter claims, not measures of substance, the economy was better than it was being reported. Today, we have an out grow of that claim, only now Bush has placed cronies in places associated with our economy to spin the one percent who are doing really well. A look at the Oil companies will be the only example needed to highlight that one percent. Today it was reported on CNN; Exxon Mobil was making $79,000 per minute in the year 2006. That is a lot of god dam money.

How long did Bush think he could get away with this one sided economy? As I see it, this strategy is working in the negative for him. Bush does not care at this point; he is on the way out, and I am sure he will be rewarded well for his contributions to the wealthy.

The media is so responsible for the delivery of this false Bush economic recovery. How many times have we had to endure hearing the six o’clock news tell us the market is doing well and so is our economy.

On the horizon, the Democratic victory in November has slowly turned the nature of what is reported to us in favor of some truths. We must tell the media we are tired of the one sided version of the news, and turn certain channels off until they change their ways. We have some leverage to hit the media where it hurt the most: Their pockets.

Standing For Change

If we are in a time of progression, and we don't back track, we can say goodbye to the right wing politics of old. No longer will we be tricked into voting for something dressed up to be something else, who can forget the scene the Republicans created when Jack Murtha voiced his concerns for the polices our troops had to endure in Iraq.

We need only look back on the 12 years of Republican rule, so we can learn from their mistakes. No one should be given a blank slate of power in our 3 tier system. No one.

So now that the "station" has been changed, what is the new program going to be? Will it be much of the same thing? Will there be only a change in players and style in which to play the same old special interest shit?

I know this about the incoming Democratic players: Most of them have a true and noble objective to help the masses. We will need to support the up coming efforts to change the status quo with pride and assurance we stand for something good.

The politicians will not be the only body tested in this changing of congressional and senatorial guard. The very people who put them into office must be willing to support, articulate, and stand firm on what has to be done.

We must face the truth to tell the truth, and when it comes time, flow with the very power truth generates toward change.

Once the truth is known, it must not be dressed up to fit the status quo, which is what Bush plans to do in a week from 1/4/07.

When Bush speaks to the Iraqi solution or what he thinks will save lives, the first thing to ask is why did we have to wait until January for the solution because anything imaginable devoted to saving lives should be in affect now. Politics of this sort rides on a tin line of withholding dynamics that would save lives.

The only thing left for this horrible time in our history is living in the hard fought process for Democratic solutions and change.

Reforming Everything

Now that America is in the sweeping mood, we should take a look at the press. Nowhere is there need to reform the false form of reporting the news as there is in the news media.

The people highlighted as Democratic examples of corruption have not been arrested for anything. You would think from the latest Washington Post article, especially in case of Rep. William Jefferson, there are indictments or people found guilty.

I have often wondered why Jefferson’s case has been just hanging out there for the Republicans and now the WP to take off the shelf to use in any way they see fit. It is time this stops. It is an assuming form of reporting.

If I never see another special commentator for the rest of my life, it will be too soon. There is nothing special about partisan opinions. I hope we don’t forget to begin the process to reform this aspect of our society

Will We Kill All The Killers?

Americans, and that includes me, have a silly tendency. Here we have a poll showing Saddam Hussien is not hated as much as our own murderous president, and we will do everything we can to minimize this reality. How silly; how convenient this is.

Yes, President Bush has blood on his hand. This explains why he will not change his views on why we went to war. He knows any change in his reason for going to war would accompany a charge of genocide. This man is responsible for many lives that had nothing to do with Saddam, harming Americans, or fighting our armed forces.

Why so many had to die for nothing has escaped scrutiny of the American consciousness. We continue to feel we are righteous liberators of a repressive regime, avoiding an ugly image associated with killing innocents.

Now we have come down to killing Saddam. Will we measure ourselves different? Will our media machine work overtime washing their part in hyping the killing of innocents as something non-important, or even worse, not reporting it at all?

What we have admitted to we called it collateral damage. The name alone dehumanizes the seriousness of killing human beings.

How long will our lie hold?

Time Is Out

I want so much to do something to stop this administration's policies from killing one more person.

I was almost in tears when I heard our president consider it important to wait until January before he delivers a solution to the Iraqi situation.

If it is a crime to be an accessory to murder, what is this? Surely, many will die if there is a delay to any problems concerning the Iraqi situation. Yet, when Bush does give his so-called solution to the Iraqi problem, and he states it will save lives, no one will dare ask him why in the hell did you wait until January.

This is serious, and yes, lives are at stake, Iraqis, Americans and allies. It's no wonder Bush's is loosing core allied support.

We must bring this problem into the proper focus. We deserve a solution NOW.

Pink Elephant Theory

From the first day we set foot in Iraq the second time, we have did nothing to improve Iraq's position in their region. I would argue our part in the Iraqi problem eludes debate or recognition.

We invaded Iraq for something they did not have: WMDs.

We have tore the country apart, and the Iraqis should be so thankful for that. From above, we have dropped death in untold numbers. The exact figure is being debated in cold third party terms. Almost as if we were referring to something less then human. Certainly less then our troops, who we call "our boys."

So what makes insurgency? Could the term "collateral damage" illicit a clue? No mention of this dynamic in the study group, or at lease, I have yet to hear any mention of the loss of innocent life.

Republicans and Democrats seem to accept the vagary around the collateral damage issue. Somehow, in a child like way, grown adults play a "out of sight out of mind" game that places the ugliness of what collateral damage has done out of their consciousness.

The Study Group needs to address the collateral damage factor with just as much intensity as whether we should pull our troops out of Iraq. Until we have, our collateral damage will enlist mama, daddy, brother, sister and dog as insurgents against the US. What would you do if someone kill your child for no good reason or any reason for that matter.

What Are We Doing?

With all that has been said about this war, I have yet to understand fully why we fight. In fact, I fail to see why America finds it acceptable to kill so many innocent civilians under a dehumanized term such as "collateral damage."

Camelot times with Martin Luther King's dreams filled my naive view of the world with good intentions to make the world a better place. So what happened: I grew up.

Never a time has life been so cruel to wake up in a world different from the day before it. Suddenly knowing what this country is truly capable of doing in its righteous arrogance, that, for which some would call genocide, we would be responsible for so much death.

This war in nothing but a show for the military brass, who are bent on making war films for the next generation, complete with the latest "smart ass bombs" that underestimated the damage it causes. So much so, we had to create a category for the people killed by their destruction.

No, I am not worried about the radical Muslims taking over our country. I am more worried about what collateral damage and smart ass bombs has done to civilians.

To The Point

In the Iraqi war madness, why did I not hear Al Qaeda's name? Al Qaeda, Bush and his supporters claim, holds the key to the violence in Iraq.

The fighting mounts, and Al Qaeda cannot be found. How long can the Bush administration and its war generals keep this perception of Iraq being the front line on Terror? They seemed to mistake the word terrible with terror. Terrible it is.

I would not want my kid to give his/her life for this civil war that does not represent my freedom or safety. What is really going on?

We All Knew Something Was Wrong

Rumsfeld is but one card in Bush's deck. I recall speculating the Bush dynasty would not make it through the second term without being impeached for something we have yet to discover. I still make that claim.

The partisan Congress and Senate Bush enjoyed falsely encouraged his power dynamic. Bush developed an air of invincibility as he pulled right up to edge of illegal tactics with his torture and surveillance tactics. Plenty would say he went over the illegal line.

Now, its apparent Bush as not got a clue on what to do with Iraq. He expects to force the Democrats to take the blame by playing a post election game called "what will the Democrats do."

Well, I am a Democrat, and I can tell you what we should not do. Democrats should not let Bush or the Republicans make them look like fools solving the war problems this president created without the information and intelligence only this administration has been cleared for.

First things first, we need to stop our killing of innocent civilians in the name of "collateral damage." Even I have lost the high level of pride I once held for this country’s military. 600,000 collateral killings are over by about 599,000 because we should not be in Iraq to begin with.

Win What Thing?

Really "lets win this thing" does not sound like a strategy to me. In fact, I am not sure what "win" constitutes when it comes to Iraq. Nor am I sure what or who "thing" is. I do know this: 603,000 total lives have been lost in the name of "winning this thing," and 600,000 of those who lost their lives get to be called "collateral damage."

I would like to see the American public back the execution of Saddam Hussein for killing between 30,000 to 60,000 Iraqi people for whatever reason, without coming to the conclusion we have did worse in the name of "winning this thing."

All loss of life has one thing in common: it's over. This country and other countries that seem to hold their military objectives above humane responsibility have missed a very important consideration. You can't kill innocent people in the name of something stupid.

In WWII, the situation was different. This is no WWII. In fact, the reason for this Iraqi war was generated for less than emergency reasons. No, the first order of business for the new Democratic congress should not be oversight. It should be to stop the killing in our name and put substance to the objective "lets win this thing."

Face It Don't Create It

There is a very important truth concerning denial the Republicans don't seem to get. It's not a river in Egypt. Everyone knows that line except the Republicans.

Do you think it will take them 2 years to understand the importance of being truthful to reality and self? I know one thing: They should stop getting on national prime time TV obviously fooling themselves to the facts surrounding their lost of congressional power.

The Republicans got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Take the cookie out of their mouths and examine why it is important to ask for the cookie. Don't continue to slam the cookies in your mouth. I learned this lesson in my early years.

So far, before the campaign, during the campaign, and after the campaign, the Republicans continue to spin every issue before them. You cannot deal with reality when you don't acknowledge it. You can't create reality by spinning it. You must face reality to start the process of effectively dealing with it. It appears the Republicans simply need to grow up, face up, so they can begin to catch up.

The Rubber Stamp Dynamic

Excuse Nancy Pelosi if she happens to make some Republicans concerned. It should happen, we voted to make it happen, and if it does not happen, the Democrats have been tricked into starting off on the wrong foot.

With our acquired congressional power advantage, it may appear the Democrats moved the rubber stamped Republicans aside to claim the title of the bipartisan rubber stamped Party. Simple: no change, no difference in political ideology. The Democrats will be on the 2008 express train to powerlessness.

There has been too much work put into restoring balance to our government. So far the media have highlighted and framed the Republican spin: The only reason we made a big sweep on Election Day related to being like the Republicans. What a sick form of denial.

Foley's Follies

With "the Democrats are the same defense" in full swing, it will be difficult to focus on the important legal questions concerning the sexual exploitation of our nation's innocence by the the biggest hypocrite ever to walk the halls of Congress.

Spin, the ugly signature of medias contribution to our political process, has surely gotten in the way of the pursuit for truth, and this Page incident will bare that out. Unless the Democrats have a factual contribution to the Foley incident, they should be left out of it. I don't need a history lessen, in the form of a score card, telling me we really need to focus on the Democrats because they have gotten away with more then Foley ever will.

Without the Foley incident, the Republican backed Incumbent revolt nearly succeeded in two more years of total Republican rule. Yet, somehow I feel the Democrats will still have to watch out for a generated issue from the right. I hope not.

Terror To Order

America and Britain are so "on it" when it comes to exposing terrorism; they both knew of a plot to explode planes in mid air but could not do a dam thing until they busted the so called Pakistani bombers. So, right after the plot to explode plains in mid air have been exposed, the terrorist alert is out and the now comes the obvious spin game.

One obvious questionable fact is the alert for this terrorist plan was escalated when they found out the so called bombers were making attempts to book flights. The press was clear to point out NO FLIGHTS WERE BOOKED, so why would the Bush administration raise a terrorist alert after they stopped the plot and placed the would be terrorist in jail? I know why; does poll numbers and November elections stand to increase with such a report? Spin baby Spin and there is no one who knows how to Spin like the current administration and the Republican Party. In fact, the way in which the right wing press reported this was made to order for the President's ailing poll numbers. The overplay for this so called plot is so big it may backfire on the paranoid right. At the time of this post, there was talk that the Governor of California was talking about enlisting the National Guard to help with Airport security -- the only place the terrorist are allowed to attack from. I feel so safe.

At a time like this, the press really shows its greedy colors. With the sensation button in one hand and the made of order special professional guess at the ready, the press launch a ruthless parade of endless, "what ifs," political and one sided scenarios dedicated to educating and misleading issues their target audience want to hear. The sad part of all of this is the truth gets buried and very hard to distinguishes from the hypothetical. It is no wonder this countries get so many issues wrong when trying to find solutions; we need only look at our process for gathering information verses our unconscious need to be sensationalized while our Politicians try to gain political "one up man ship."

Slash And Run Real Fast

The title suggests there should be an upgrade to the always appropriate slogan "cut and run." As adults, we should not be so taken in by this kind of suggestion: I am not sure what a "cut and run" is. Is it a person? Does a "cut and run" person have cooties or smell bad? I know a "cut and run” person is something like what happen to the word "Liberal." All of the sudden, as a "Liberal," I drink cool- aid and want by country taken over by terrorist and aliens, both out of country and outer space.

I know all this conjecture is not true; I am just wondering when we gave the opposition the unchallenged right to define who we, meaning Democrats and Liberals, are. At some point we have got to make the Republicans responsible for what they call us -- in the way our parent taught us about name calling -- just for the sake directing the moment to an adult level. Yes, come with what matters within issues, not within your kids classroom.

I Hate The Truth About It All

How else am I suppose to feel about the truth about Iraq? I am sorry but I really hate what we have done to the civilian population in Iraq. It amounts to murder -- in this case, a very high class elitist murder cloaked in patriotism. When you look at the truth and the facts surrounding this War, I find myself looking for the honor we use to carry as a standard for the world to follow. So, I too look to Bush's Supreme court lost concering Guantánamo detainees as a blessing that could bring down Bush's misrepresentation of the American spirit. I would love to few our war resolve as a necessary option only used to save the lives of others in imminent danger. I do not feel the kind of honor and pride afforded our soldiers in past wars. How else am I suppose to feel?

A Shock Jock Rally

Hell has no fury like that of the radio Right with a lie in mind and a mike in their hand. Similar, a mental clinic has no patient who would not benefit from a electrical jolt every now and then. The Democrats should use the lines used to rally the Right to truly what has become some of the most contemptuous actions this war has produced. Cold blooded murder is a very serious crime, for which, in this case, there has been plenty of witnesses to validate what our Marines have done. Another sad element concering this is our Marines are now benefiting from the negative aspects of the so called "Trickle Down" dynamic -- not the trickle down associated with economics, but instead, this is a trickle down of the attitude that you can get away with anything in within the actions of this Government. The Marines are only acting like their Commander and Chief who must be put into check. Our Governmental structure has never been so at the verge of complete breakdown as it is today. At all levels of our 3 branch Government, a realignment is needed; someone like Al Gore or another power house needs to step into this fight and stop this attack on its structure.

Predictions Come True

Something must be said for the predictability of this current situation with the gas prices. For the last 5 years, the Oil companies have been testing the Market to see what it will bare; this testing allowed me to see a predictable pattern that still exceeded my expectations in how high gas prices would become. I remember reading somewhere gas prices would rise to a very high level; then, Mr. Bush would save the day by returning the prices to the previous level. What a strategy for the incredibly shrinking, in poll numbers, President.
From the very start of the price dynamic we are currently in, I was very concerned about the lack of outrage that was victimized by diversion tactics that played out in the form of headline news. Everyday, early in this month, and all of last month, there was something in the news big enough to keep the puplic from any concerned inquiry about the rise in gas prices. From immigration to leaks within the White House, there was always a issue and when things became dull, we found out our President was the source of his own leak investigation. How is that for a diversion? In any event, the puplic is now involved in what I fell will lead to the undoing of this National rip off.

At this point, the ritual of Scott McClellan's daily spin with the press is a exercise in a Republican rally call on how to defend the President's policies. I wonder what ciritics thinks will come out of confronting the lack of confrontation from the the media. At best, the press will be lucky the land on the right side of an issue; they have no commitment to journalistic excellence. In fact, the only beholding dynamic the press respects is ratings and it's ability to crate news to fit the new race to the right wing media slant. In today's political arena we have a lot to be concerned about. The lost of left wing power within the three branches of Government have created "black Hole" for everything people orientated to fall in. From laws to legislation, 40 years of hard earned Democratic ideals, that some have lost their lives for, seem to be falling by the waist side.
There is some light at the end of this fall: the 2006 elections should be the first major offensive from he left. As it turns out, the same power the Republicans fought so hard for will be their own demise. Absolute power corrupts, and we all have been witness to a lot of "good oh boy" corruption. Yes, the right wingers are trying their best at the only form of bipartisan politics they are willing to truly give a try: blame for the scandals they have made such a mess out of.

What Is Really Going On?

What will have to happen just to establish a truthful unmanipulated political process? Currently, the Republicans are getting away with telling many outrages distortions and lies that end up confusing and misleading our political process. In the current Iraqi quagmire, there is no time for undressing or unwrapping political propaganda designed to favor military dynamics that could, and often tries, to reshape our governmental structure at its core. No oversight has created a "all is fair" atmosphere that has sent our honor to the dark ages to sit along side of the very Iraqi lawless government we claim to be helping to eliminate.
Now, nothing is off limits, for you can even bring into question our honor system for which we acknowledge those who put their lives on the line to uphold are nation's interest. Coulter and the shock jocks invite the worse aspects of our Democratic government just to profit and establish a strong kkk style faction in our government. Hate sells, and the Republicans are guilty of using this very factor to win elections, divide our nation, and created an atmosphere of un-trust for the very process we function by. These are telling times, and people like Coulter tell the wrong time.

Communicating Simple Points

Why is it so hard to hear what the Democrats are trying to say? Could some of Democrat's words be falling in a vacuum to briefly surface at the sole recall of Democrats only? It just seems, for the sake of politics, the critical points concerning our, I am a left leaning card carrying Democratic Liberal, positions get lost in the debates. One example is the Democrats claim they were given information to fit the Bush administration's wishes to go to war, not the facts which was not provided to those who voted to give Bush authorization to go to war. Another lost point is Murtha's initiative was not voted on; instead, a plain statement to withdraw the troops was submitted by the Republicans, which did not have any of the considerations noted in Murtha's initiative. There would be no argument if the positions held were clearly stated. The only thing left would be to prove or disapprove the positions in the debate.
Somebody clearly does not want to clearly define the debate; without clear delineation of the arguments, we cannot move to the who's telling the truth or lie stage. Time after time, the media and the Republicans claim the Democrats were given the same information as the President, and no one voted for Murtha's initiative. That is, in both cases, a poor delineation of the arguments at hand and will not go any further because the arguments lacks agreement on its foundation. When you factor the media's constant need to hype, distort, or crate information related to an argument, you get a dysfunctional triad that seem to run counter to any form of true problem solving. It is no wonder many Americans have lost hope in our media, Congress and leaders to solve our nation's problems. There is one word all three subjects in the triad adhered to: replacement.

Undermining The Argument

The Democrats could be losing this argument concerning the sequence of events that took place in Congress on Friday, November 18, 2005. All media accounts indicate "Congress" acted like unsupervised children. When you view the tapes and follow the FACTS surrounding the argument, a clear distinction comes into view, and you clearly see the ill effects of globalizing taken form. The Republicans tried to present John Murtha's, a Democrat, bill in their words. This one fact has been so under reported by media and Republicans alike. What the Republicans did should be the first reply to any recounted attempt from Democrats. The attempt to blur the facts of how this argument became a spectacle
is a tactic so often used under the "Fair and Balanced" claim by the media. I could not count how many times the media has used this concept to make opinion and lies legitimate issues. Globalizing the 2004 Party candidates was the primary factor to why Democrats lost ground to the Republicans. It's logical to keep the status Que if both sides have been pegged as the same. Democrats cannot afford to be viewed as having the same attributes as the Republicans, a point that should not be hard for them.
For what happen in Congress on Friday, viewers would be hard pressed to see the spin has fact. Increased exposure, thanks to CSPAN, has and will make it difficult for the Republicans to lie as they once enjoyed. Before its over, I put my money on the Republicans moving to have TV out of Congress. The Republicans will long miss the days when lies flowed like Niagara Falls, and the only way to counter their lies required a more than average knowledge of current political dynamics.

Speaking Out: We Awake From Inactivity To Fight Back

First let me say I am proud to be affiliated with the Left of the political spectrum. I am also proud to be a Liberal, who despite the rhetoric, has the intellect to move our county in the direction needed to recover from this administration's war based in lies and false economic recovery. It appears, the Left have awaken to fight the fight we should of fought right after the 2000 election.
In part, because of the bold and strongman tactics of the Bush administration, the Left reeled back and settled with a complain plenty do nothing approach to issues at hand. We became settled with the assumption the word Liberal meant you were endowed with everything wrong and only belonged in the category of extremes to be shunned by the mere mention of their name.
After two questionable elections, a war we were tricked into supporting, and a mounting reality that everything they have fought for 40 years, the Left now knows it is under attack from the Bush administration and his Republican supporters. Since the close of the Senate -- a special 21 rule -- to move into a close session, the left as awaken to fight. The Democrats, or the so called Liberals, have awaken to ask the important questions about how we got into a occupation of another country fighting for oil that is not ours. The Democrats have awaken to claim the proud accomplishments associated with being Liberal and caring for the world around them. With every move forward, the Left clarifies what the Right has so cleverly distorted and made a mockery of. Yes, the Left and all the good it has stood for stands in the only light it knows and that is in the interest of the American people.

The Black Republicans And History

You can trace the Black Republican form of compliant thinking to "Uncle Tom's Cabin." It is a sad under-researched dynamic spawned from slavery as some slaves took many measures to stop some of the physical and separation abuse imposed on them as a means to control them.

To cope with the many beatings associated with plantation life, Blacks were forced into compliance. You need only to go to a land where you don't understand the language; add to this someone beating the skin off your back for words you can't seem to understand. By the principles described in conditional learning alone, Blacks understood a basic rule to survive, and not get beat, was to comply. Doing what they thought the masters wanted them to do was quickly learned and passed on as a survival technique.

The house slave is a direct product of compliance to avoid beatings. As those who understood this concept most became trusted and delegated to instruct other slaves who did not know the rules and language, thus, the Uncle Tom was born.

From the very beginning, the Uncle Tom thought he was better than the others because he could speak like the whites, dress like the whites, and if given the chance, he could even criticise like the whites. There was only one glaring problem to Uncle's Tom's status: he was still black.

Throughout the years, the Uncle Tom's need to demonstrate this extreme form of compliance has evolved to the now Black Republican, complete with his so called "just like Whites" conditioning, but now he's joined a political Party that seems to give his status a true sense of belonging and that is the Republican Party..

A Tired Fight

The Republicans, and the "Hating Right" are starting to believe their own lies. Just like the evolution of man, the Republican liars have evolved into a whole new Species. The new Species is self supporting and need only the confirmations from their own ranks -- hence Bush's exclusion of non supporters to his town meetings and campaign rallies. The new Species has several draw backs, but the one that most identify their shortcomings as a Species is they tend to believe the lies in the face of undeniable truth, and they tend to treat truth as an opinion to be discounted by, you guessed it, more lies. With all this need to keep truth at bay, they have become very hateful of those who would make it difficult for them to maintain their deceptions. In short, they live by lies and die by them, and if we don't stop them, they will have more victims dying for the same lies they need to live off of.

Logic Flow

If "A" and "B" are true, than "C". The Former is a simple formula for the truth, it is also the same formula being used by the Bush administration to generate untruths. I call the equation the "logic flow" formula. This is the very means by which are President is feeding the American people the untruth about Iraq and the War on Terror, where "A" = Terrorist who hate Americans, "B" = The need to defend America from the Bad Terrorist and "C" is equal to invasion of Iraq to spread Democracy so the Terrorist will change their minds or be killed?
Now if "A" and "B" are not true, then "C" will be ineffective and could be considered a contribute to the very problem that is up until now not Identified. The equations does not account for the money involved or the special interest that can be attribute to a false equation, but if you use the formula, you can point to the logic flow needed to gain support for the actions taken in Iraq and the War on Terror. It also points to the areas of focus for the truth, should America want to deal in a true solution.
