Misinformation: Fox Is Not The Only One

While most of the world is would pride themselves on a steady path of growth,the MSM seems to be in another world. Watching the news from most of the media is a challenge to one's reality. It often counter to the real story and is more like it was just plain made up.

While watching the story about the sudden drop in the stock market yesterday, it was clear the reality surrounding what happen was simple: Instead of typing a "M" for million, someone typed a "B" for million. How long does it take to say why the drop happened? Time yourself while you read the previous statement.

Most,if not all, cover news in this way and it makes no sense unless they have an alternate agenda. In the next clip the outstanding moment of winning the Noble Peace prize is altered to be a minus. This is framing an issue from the core.

For once It would be nice to read or view what an issue is not what it is framed to be. In today's media, the agenda is right-winged and often supported by the major network reported it. And the say the bias is from the left. Show me.

Where Is the Proof For The GOP Resurgence

For the last 6 months, every mainstream TV news network has been trying to frame the GOP resurgence. The worse has bee Cris Matthews. On every show he trots out some specialist or weak Democratic strategist to confirm the upcoming Democratic demise. There is one important missing element involving a GOP resurgence: Proof.

So, far every, with exception of one, Quinnipiac University Poll, all polls say the Democrats are winning the American people's support. I hope we are not headed for the old "vote and switch" Republican led ripoff.

The fact-less claim has been stated enough you would think it is a truth, and that is the whole objective. And they say the MSM is a Liberal bias. You could of fooled me.

"Will Barack Obama have a positive reaction from winning the Nobel Peace Prize, or will he have a negative reaction" Chris Mathews said as he started his show. He then, in the same segment said the Republicans will have a field day with this incident as he trotted out his line of "special commentators" who have been assigned the roll of waiting for Mathews to interrupt them with his now conservative talking points.

Mathews is compulsive with a mission. He wants the power to make and break politicians like Obama, so he is taken a special interest in framing everything Obama does with his special brand of framing.

I, at first, was a Hillary Clinton supporter who had to reluctantly throw my support to Obama because he won the Democratic nomination. As it stands, I could not of been more wrong about Obama. What a pleasant surprise that was. This man is before his time, and with every word that comes out of his mouth, he proves that. The right has no one like him or to compare him to. So, the right-wing lying machine does what they do best. With the help from the overly conservative media, they lie and frame every issue concerning Obama in a negative light.

The point I am trying to make is the media, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, Fox Wanna be News, and the many others deserve the left's special attention. This special attention should be used to expose and call the media out on making news instead of reporting it.

Since Barack Obama started to consider his candidacy as president, the far right, the extreme racist, and everything stupid knew they would have the chance to use Obama's race as a weapon against him. Ana Maria Cox said Beck was taking advantage of fear. The people who follow him find a good old boys and girls network in which to relate their fears about where the country is headed. That is a bunch of bull, and at best, Cox is putting the obvious racist tones coming out Beck and his followers mouths nicely. This man is a racist; the people who follow and support him are the same, ansd the networks that present his actions as a political ideology to be debated do what Beck need for his Bull to grow.

The networks have a huge roll in the promotion of the negative crab directed at our BLACK president. By given Beck's movement the kind of air time and analysis shown in the video, his status is mistaken for something to debate. All that is needed to define Beck and his followers is the same kind of consideration we give the KKK and skin heads: "Been there; scene that."

From the left, from the right, and from the media, they all seem to take their aim at Barack Obama's attempt to do something no one has been able to do to date: Bring effective health care for all.

From the left, there seems to be side liners waiting for Obama to do something un-liberal, un-politically correct, or just plain unrelated to what he said he would do if he was elected -- this is going on while Obama is in the process of trying to put something together. Through it all, the left has weaken Obama's support, leaving him alone to swim for himself.

From the right, lies, lies, and more lies. These people lie so much you would think they were allergic to the truth. Lets get one thing straight: The Republican Party has a loosing solution and they are playing it to the letter. A victory to defeat the health care efforts will be short lived. The next round of elections will show them just how much they have fooled the public.

From the media, there seems to be this perception, they should insert their brand of sensationalism into every issue. It is hard to see their role in the health care issue as positive because the only thing they think of is ratings. They blow everything out of proportion. What bothers me the most is they practice creating the news when they should be reporting the news. I could care less if I never see another special annalist from MSNBC or any other network.

It is easy to sit by and pick out what Obama has done or not done. For sure they will see something inherent in everyone of us: Being human.

From the Ed show to Rachael Madow, MSNBC is covering the whole political spectrum with anti Obama commentary. They provide a complete picture of the political atmosphere. Lately, they have been taken pot shots at Barack Obama's entire support structure.

The Ed Show:

Day after day, Ed Schultz complains about how Obama is loosing his liberal base. He does this enough to put a serious dent in Obama's liberal support. By itself, it looks harmless; however, when you look at the total attacks lunched against Obama, there is cause for concern.

Polls Polls Polls

If you say it often enough, it will stick. This is the approach being done with the use of selective polls by Chris Matthews and others at MSNBC. Take a look at the Quinnipiac U. poll. What you find is that Matthews is using this poll to promote Obama's decline in public support The real truth is that it is the lowest out of the first ten polls listed. Why would Matthews and others at MSNBC use only this poll troubles me.

Give It To Me Now

It appears Obama is not working fast enough for Racheal Maddow. She wants Obama to change the status of the Gay people now. Right now. Or, night after night, this happen in May and June, Obama has been the butt of many complaints he is not for filling his campaign promises.

My point is clear, when you look at the entire coverage provided for Obama at MSNBC, you can see it has dangerous potential. There will me more to come concerning this sudden all out attack on the Obama administration by the media. Especially the attacks by MSNBC.

What Has Bush Done To The Iraqi People

First, even though we are coming to the end of this terrible administration, some of what is posted on this site could be considered anti American and potentially dangerous by this administration. Suppression, by wiretapping practices, was what this administration tried to accomplish, so finding reasons for digging into your background would be open for interpretation. From what I scene of Republicans and this administration, they are masters at rationalizing what they did during the slaughter they called the war on terror.

Most would say this war was fueled by fear of Islamic terrorism. On closer inspection, our own actions caused this war to escalate to killing Americans, insurgents, and many innocent men, women and children. They call it "collateral damage." I call it a cool and deadly "insurgency loop" that will continue until America leaves Iraq.

To go before the Iraqi people and make an agreement to stay in their country for the next 10 years, Bush is exacting a form of mental and emotional torture on the Iraqi people. The journalist know this more then anyone in Iraq. They have covered many stories Bush forbid us from seeing, and American media censors would not challenge him. Despite censorship, enough information concerning our early practice of using smart ass bombs that not only hit their intended target but everything around it. So, when you kill an innocent's person child, you have created the next generation of insurgents hell bent on killing those responsible for this nasty act. The very name it self, "collateral damage," is offensive. The reference sounds as though you are destroying furniture or something non human.

We have been in this deadly pattern for almost six years, and our president will not acknowledge the damage he has done to the Iraqi people. He's lucky he got only a shoe thrown at him.

Overlooked Reality

We as voters play along with a strange reality. First I ask: How long has Barack Obama been in the Senate? In all that time, has something as strong as wanted to take Israel off the map ever came up? Now here is the real irony: After know what we know about Obama, why would we let attack after attack, rent space in our heads?

It does not make any sense to have go through this dance of character assassination throughout the whole campaign. What is even more baffling is sometimes it works. Yes, John Kerry would be the first to tell you it worked. Yet,in a surreal fashion after the election, everything returned to prior status. Almost like we were playing a childs game to "throw a lick and make it stick," and when it was over, we went back to our seats and sat down.

Even now, John McCain is still playing the "make it stick game" and not having much luck with it. As a result, the McCain camp is flirting with the most hostile emotion of them all: Hatred. Yes, the number one displaced emotion is the most workable one used by politicians like the Republican brand running for office this year. Talk about shaking hands with the devil, the McCain and Palin team is all up in the devil's house.

So, taking a growing leap forward for the next election, lets check this shit at the very beginning of the campaign so we can deal with issues and how candidates will handle them. The Republicans can be made to be responsible for their statements as well as their actions. You should not be able to lie and rationalize you way out of the lie with the claim you are exercising your freedom of speech. It is time to grow-up and move pass this ugly practice.

Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran: Not. I could care less what Iran does right now. With all that this country has on its plate right now, why should we be worrying about Iran?

That this should come up right now speaks to denial about the financial crisis we are in. “We are not hurting so bad that we forgot about our problem country Iran.” Its like the United States insist they maintain this superior world police role. It is really silly to give the impression that no matter what we still reserve the right to kick Iran in the ass for not doing what we told them to do.

If I were the leader of Iran, I would be dancing in front of Bushes white house with a mock nuclear plant prop singing: “I got my power; you can’t stop me; I got my power, you can’t stop me.”

How far is Bush willing to take this country down dark roads? Do you think he would risk military strikes on Iran, so gasoline can go through the roof? With amazement, I wonder what have we allowed this man to do to our country. Will we sit by and let him raid our treasury as he walks out of the White House?

There is one more assignment Barack Obama should take on. He needs to stop any further abuse by this president as he walks out of the White House. Someone has got to step up to the plate and read and explain what stunts this president may be carrying out on the American people. Someone has got to look this bastard in the face and say: “I got your number; put that money back and go sit your ass down until it is time for you to go.”

I know what the Republicans have said and what they have did are two different things. They have set the Democrats up to look like losers twice. On each occasion, they let the Democrats commit to “saying” they were sure they have enough votes to pass legislation only to pull out at the last moment. I would go as far as to say, the representatives who voted against this bill, hid behind a silent posture that went by the Democrats as support. However, the spin after the vote for the bill was anything but silent. The House Republicans attacked the with the conviction of a planed strategy.

Forget the Dum shit, the Democrats need to stop letting the Republican game on them. Although they failed on both occasions to put this in the Democrat’s court, it make no sense to keep playing their game. The Democrats need to drop their participation with the Republicans altogether, create their own bailout bill, and promote it as a critical need for the country. In this way, they don’t have to keep looking over their shoulder waiting for some bomb.

So far, I have seen nothing in the media suggesting this bailout has a ulterior purpose. I don’t expect to either. The media is conservative, and if anything, they will help to hide the fact that so far the only thing that has come out of the Republican effort to bailout our country is a attack on Democrats.

I have written about this very dynamic: The need for this administration to create a killing field in Iraq. There was no significant fighting Al Qaeda force in Iraq. The US was dealing with a civil war, and the only way they could quell the violence was to eliminate one of the civilian forces. This administration did two significant things to create their modern day killing field:

1. They launched a campaign to hype up Al Qaeda in Iraq. After making the claim that Al Qaeda only represented 2% of violence in the region, with the help of the media, they started attributing every shooting, kidnapping, and fire fight to America’s number one enemy: Those bad boys who brought down the two towers. At one point, I did not think we were talking about the same Al Qaeda. However, keep in mind, there are no pictures of battles coming out of Iraq because there were none. No pictures and no WWII like battles to show we were “winning this thing.”

2. I admit this is a week point, but I think Bob Woodward’s latest book eludes to it. There was some sort of special force killing campaign that scared the shit out of the insurgent leaders. This special project, along with the stop of our smart ass bomb killings that did everything they were made for and more stopped the violence in Iraq. They had to stop using the smart bomb technology because it not only hit their targets but everything around it. When American technology started killing innocent men, women and babies, they never reported this side affect concerning their smart ass weapons. I know if you kill my child, I am your next enemy, along with my brother, sister, father and dog.

The only way we will come close to learning about the facts concerning what we did to stop the violence in Iraq is to elect Barack Obama. The facts will stay hidden otherwise. John McCain might even celebrate with more killings. I can’t bare to contemplate that reality.

I have noted this once before, but it might work if I note it three times: The Media is Conservative, The Media is Conservative, The Media is Conservative. Since the success of Fox News, MSNBC and CNN have all leaned to the right when delivering the news. This affects what polls they reference, who they bring on their shows, and, most of all, what they try to pass off as fact. Since the Republican convention, there has been a strong narrative John McCain, with the help of Super Palin, has caught up to and pass Barack Obama.

Maybe I am blind, but I don’t see how in the hell the Republican convention was more exciting then the Democratic convention. At best, I could barely stay awake to watch the dull list of speakers coming out of their convention. As a black person, I could not find anyone in the convention my color so it was very hard to get a “fit in” feeling. However, when you have three major news agencies running a conservative narrative Sarah Palin has galvanized their Party, it is easy to get the impression Obama is loosing ground.

The Palin Affect

Sarah Palin is one step away from total collapse of her political career. This lady has made it known she plans to have little to do with the press. If you take into account all that is being said about her, you would not go before a camera either. Maybe all the things they say are not true, but I willing to bet a lot of it is. Today, they were talking about her religious believe to speak in tongs.

The Palin Affect is media created, media supported and very overstated. Most everyone I talk to think this lady is a joke. The women think about her 4 month old Down Syndrome child at home being taken care of by a nanny or their oldest daughter. That scenario does not advance a positive picture of a devoted Mother because she is on the trail bashing Obama. I ask: where would you be with a four month old baby? Man or women. And speaking of her oldest daughter, I get an image of a true “shotgun” wedding. The would be husband looks like a baby. Forget about running for VP; get your house in order. That is the theme Obama should be using when the Palin question is asked.

The Surge: A Long Campaign Of Lies

Time has not served this issue well. What has been forgotten plays a important part in this issue. There was a pre Surge campaign to make the case for a need to address Al Qaeda in Iraq. Most Americans watched the campaigned and mistook it for actual news.

In May of 2007, I recall addressing whether there was a significant fighting force to warrant a Surge. After being told Al Qaeda only accounted for 2% of the violence in Iraq, I found it hard to believe a Surge of 30,000 troops the best way to address the stated problem. So, night after night, Al Qaeda became the headline for everything wrong in Iraq. At the time, I pleaded with people to pay attention to the campaign of Al Qaeda’s overstated involvement.

There was a ghostly presence concerning Al Qaeda combatants. I have never scene one. This enemy combatant must be camera shy. In WWII, you saw pictures of the enemy — soldiers, units, combat footage complete with the save the day hero. “WHERE IS THE GODDAMMIT PROOF?” With all the victory claims, there must be some proof of the battles it took to “win this thing.” There is none.

What stopped the violence amounted to paying the combatants off. We did not need a Surge for distributing the cash. With the unaccounted for 9 billion dollar in Iraq, there was talk about giving money away from the back of a pick up truck. No, you don’t need 30,000 troops to give money away. I guess they could make a case for guarding the money but that too is unlikely.

How easy it was for this administration to claim victory resulting from the Surge. In the first place, they did not make a good enough case to have a Surge. They certainly have not proved they needed on. They usually have a “smart bomb fest,” complete with footage of precise hits that claim their targets and the innocent population around it, or should we call the innocent “collateral damage.”

One way to win this argument is to address the phony way they went about creating the need to have a Surge. Also, request for battle footage, complete with one fire fight with Al Qaeda. Not “expected” Al Qaeda combatants, but the reason we needed the Surge Al Qaeda combatants.

Why does the media get a free pass when the question who is playing the race card is asked? Without the media, race would be but a small problem. With the media, it is always looming in the background waiting to pounce on its next victim.

The MSM, MSNBC, CNN, and as you just viewed, Fox news actually create, sustain, and drive the dynamics of race. They then have the nerve to set by and evaluate the topic as to who would dare use race as a political tool. This third party position they take is never talked about, confronted, or clarified to be a direct product of the MSM's need to sensationalize everything they think will improve their ratings.

I am committed to exposing this and other dynamics associated with unspoken negatives of the MSM.We need a counter drive of sorts. However, it is hard for the Democrats to address this issue head on. Recall the more Hillary and Bill Clinton asserted the media was behind race dynamics, the more the MSM attacked their campaign as a whole.

I truly look forward to a day when the media of old returns to claim its earlier glory. At present, each major network holds and exerts the right to have their resident racist. Pat Buchanan, Bill O'Reilly, Chris Tucker, and Glenn Beck all walk up to the door of racist intent while claiming it is their right to tell it like it is. CNN actually was a true leader in network news, commentators and special commendation. Today , they have did all they can do to distort whether commentators have the right to attack others under the banner of free speech. There is not time more evident then now for the need of a fair and balanced media.

I hate to use the word conspiracy because it is associated with being a crackpot. However, the word conspiracy totally applies when referring to what the right-wing media is doing to Barack Obama. It is reflected in the polls and in comments made by newscasters and media personalities.

I say it is reflected in the polls because of sites like RealClearPolitics. Their average is dominated by two tracking polls, Gallup and Rasmussen. These two tracking polls is lowering the perception of Obama’s lead by manipulating daily releases. Take a look at the additional pollsters history. Clearly you can see how Gallup and Rasmussen polls have managed to keep Obama’s average below 4%. I have been able to predict with fair accuracy releases by these two pollsters when another poll shows Obama with a lead of 5% or better. How low will they go? As you can see, they have went as far as to put McCain ahead by 4%. This valve like function has been going on since the primaries.

In the media, MSNBC is taking the lead in representing the worse bias toward Obama. On many occasions they seem to contrive debates with stronger points being made for McCain. In the provided link, you can clearly see the so-called Democratic strategist did not put up much of a argument for Obama. Having this much manipulation power can deliver a strong measure of control. To control the opposition is one thing, but to control pro and con of an issue is manipulation gone propaganda and has given the right-wing media a nasty advantage not matched by the Democrats.

I am not surprised they have enlisted the so-called evangelist. The Republicans have enjoyed their support for years, and the last I checked it has not changed. Maybe Obama should write this group off and chalk this up as experience.

So, If I wrote a book saying John McCain sold me high grade pot, would CSPAN put me on the Washington Journal? By giving Jerrome Corsi a well known forum like the Washington Journal, CSPAN, which has a conservative edge, is giving legitimacy to Corsi's lies.

No matter how you slice it, Corsi will get a boost from this appearance and CSPAN knows it. Anytime you give a lie a debate formate, you are giving that lie a life associated with choice: Mines or theirs. CSPAN is using its reputation for covering both sides to give this lie a chance to hurt Barack Obama. It does not matter if they put someone on from MediaMatters to counter the lies. The damage was done before the counter got on TV.

I know many would disagree with me, but I don't give the Washington Journal a fair rating at all. The very core call in structure is designed to minimize the popular opinion. As we speak, George W. Bush has an approval rating of 25% or lower, yet, on the Washington Journal they may as well have one 50% or better. The calls are set up for one Democrat, one Republican and one Independent. This format takes away from any sense of a issue becoming a outrage among the people. In fact, it hides the fact that the public may be for or against a issue. As it stands, this is a perfect format for Corsi because half will hate what he's doing and half the callers will make points for his actions.

Here is a chance to make another. First off, why does so many media commentators use Gallup and Rasmussen polls to make their “its a close race” comments? Take another look at the history of polling for president this year; this time exclude Gallup and Rasmussen polls.

What you will discover is without Gallup and Rasmussen low numbers for Barack Obama, the polling picture would look different, by at least four points. I have followed this polling bias with much anger. The MSM uses Gallup and Rasmussen polls as if they were made for them. Upon closer inspection, you can clearly see Gallup and Rasmussen daily tracking polls are being used as a valve. When other polls release polls with a 5 point or better lead for Obama, Gallup and Rasmussen adjust to what numbers will keep McCain close to Obama. RealClearPolitics’ assemblage of polls document a everyday bias for John McCain. As I comment, todays polling display represent an attempt to wash out higher numbers, so Gallup and Rasmussen polls will have a stronger effect.

There is support for my assertion Gallup and Rasmussen polls are bias. Because every commentator using the noted polls are conservative in delivery of news, It is a hard thing to counter. However, someone can say to them: THERE ARE MORE POLLS OUT THERE THEN JUST GALLUP AND RASMUSSEN.

From Dan Abrams to Kieth Olbermann, they all twist information to suit issues, facts and special guest assertions. They lie and back it up with a rational line of scenarios no one will call them on in the moment they release their deceptions. Believe it this was an exception to the rule. You can thank Karl Rove for Nicole Wallace’s attempt to accuse the opponent of what they accuse you of. You recall they used this tactic with the claim Barack Obama was getting more attention from the press. Like this claim, it was a lie they hoped would catch on. The John McCain camp has to do something; their bias polls have been discovered and now stand to be washed out by true pollsters who give Obama more of a lead. It is known Gallup and Rasmussen daily tracking polls are being used as a option to lower Obama’s numbers as needed. You don’t really think McCain is beating Obama or one point behind him? If you do, I have some land in Alaska I can sell you really cheap.

It appears everything goes on MSNBC. Pat Buchanan boarder line racist statements, calling candidates children a whore to be pimped by their own Mother and anything they can use to keep viewers away from Fox news. One could make the argument actual news reporting is second to news creation in MSNBC. Where has all the professionalism went? It surely is not on MSNBC.

Enough with the stunts and desperate attempts at wining over public favor — any favor. Really its time for these guys to put something on the table besides filling the oil company’s pockets. First off, can we take away the claim they speak for the majority of the people. What people? No one has asked me shit. The only way the Republicans can truly say they speak for the majority is to have a vote. I know in my heart they would loose hands down. As it stands, the use of Gallup, CNN, and Rasmussen polls are not a full representative sample of the this country’s people. They represent conservative interest and nothing more.

It is time for the Republicans to role up their sleeves and do some real bargaining with the oil companies. They have the contacts to bargain for help with lowering the gasoline. Not once has any of them came up with a plan to lower the price of gas by balancing the record profits of the oil companies. This should of been done months ago, and the Democrats missed pushing the issue. It is not too late. As it stands, every effort seems to lack focus and cohesiveness to move forward on this issue. A campaign slogan to “Think Balance” would help the oil companies share the wealth.

Media Matters - On Hardball , Barnicle relied on misleading NY Times article to assert that Obama has raised more from big donors than McCain

I did a quick scan of how many stories were related to MSNBC. There are many. At what point to we rise the question what is their role in our election process? So far, there is many incidents that point to their support for John McCain. Yet, there are some questionable manipulation dynamics that bare review and concern.

Do you recall how vicious MSNBC was toward Hillary Clinton during the primary process? Most of Barack Obama's supporters did little to rise any concerns for the claim Chris Matthews' obsession with Clinton when beyond reporting to dedicating more then half his show bashing her. I know I was concerned for the unequal funding burden imposed on her from the endless attacks on her campaign. After record funding goals, she still came up short as a result of the attacking nature of the press, mostly MSNBC and CNN. It is one thing to battle a candidate and another to battle TV networks. The end result is she lost.

There were many who was concerned that all the love given to Barack Obama would turn sour when the general election came. As it stands, those concerns were well founded. MSNBC has dropped all support for Obama for, yes you guessed it, John McCain. From all of this I have one very import question: Why did they want Obama elected as nominee? Without having to note it, I have my own conclusions for why.

MSNBC and their conservative counter parts are not finished with Clinton. There is the matter of vice president, and they are making sure she does not get on the ticket. When a Republican says Clinton as the VP pick will help them, they are lying through their teeth. If that were the case, do you think they would broadcast it and campaign to make sure she is not chosen? As I note these comments Brewer from MSNBC is having a phony debate with a Republican and Democratic strategist . You know the Democratic strategist who seems to agree with every negative claimed against their Party. They are debating if Clinton is trying to steal Obama's nomination. From the video they used to make the claim, you have to stretch it to come to that conclusion, and MSNBC had no problem doing so.

My claim is this: What MSNBC is doing amounts to undue influence and questionable manipulation of the facts, airways and our election process. When you have a network with the financial influence MSNBC has, there is cause for concern. Now, until November, we have to watch this network do the same thing they did to Clinton to Obama. But now, the stakes are very high. I don't think this country can stand another Republican administration. This story will continue.

Gallup has had to change so much someone thought it would be a good idea to remove the tracking poll history. It could come back to hunt them.

I would not worry about polling manipulation if I were working for ~~McSame~~ McCain; I would be worried about what McCain himself might to to end the chances of him becoming president. He missing much, and it is easy to pickup on.

The above outlines the gist of what we know as the Surge. It involved a door to door sweep through Iraqi neighborhoods. Long gone are the columns of offensive equipment that highlighted our latest technological advances. On occasion, they use our smart ass bomb technology that hit their target and everything around it. This is the same smart ass bomb weapons that create a insurgency loop. After killing an innocent, lets say a child, the relatives of that child become the next wave of insurgents hell bent on revenge.

I know John McCain cannot be thinking of this kind of offensive in the streets of America. While I know the use of smart bomb technology is out of the question, if they steal another election, I do see McCain using door to door tactics to quite opposition. The media has been very busy trying to give the impression McCain is close to Barack Obama and ready to take the lead. Hell, I would not be surprised if Gallup release a poll tomorrow with McCain in the lead. There is no way in hell McCain is beating Obama or even close to him. What you are seeing are polls made to order. Yet, I can’t help but feel we are being soften up for another stolen election.

I was watching Tom Brokaw on “Meet the Press.” He was interviewing Barack Obama during his European trip. Brokaw was so dismissive toward anything positive Obama did during the trip and wanted only to talk about hypothetical scenarios. I sat in front of the TV calling Brokaw every kind of bastard I could think of. He made me feel unimportant and I was not even there. After the program, I pondered what would happen if all of the media treated Obama in this way. There is no doubt Obama would have a problem. We would have to brace ourselves for another 8 years of Republican rule. I don’t think this country can live through another conservative administration.

Talk about coordinating attacks, have you seen the polls lately? There is a clear attempt by the folks at the RealClear politics site to control the polling averages. When you know how to use numbers, you can create all kinds of deceptions. Gallup released a poll showing Barack Obama with a 9 point lead. Within the next two days, they released another poll showing John McCain with 4 point lead among likely voters, including the 9 point lead polls they gave two days prior. Today, Dick Gregory of MSNBC argued why is Obama not gaining in the polls. Here is why.

I have provided a link to the RealClear politics’ averages. When a conservative polling agency is controlling which polls are included in that average, you can make that average favor your candidate every time. So RealClear dropped a few leading polls for Obama, and found the right sequence of numbers that would make Obama look week, McCain look stronger, and Gallup look fair. With a strange combination that had Gallup giving Obama a 9 point lead, and another polls showing McCain with a 4 point lead, they are making the false claim Obama is not winning. While you are at it, look at the history of the national polls. As a matter of perception and which poll you believe, you can make the same claim Obama is pulling away from McCain.

My point: The polling average is generated by a conservative agency. They will not show Obama leading if they can work the numbers so they don’t have to. They have been working the numbers overtime, complete with bias and media support. The bias in favor of McCain is huge and coordinated. I have seen the same coordination within the media as they comment on Hillary Clinton’s chances for VP. So far, the conservatives have become so concerned for Obama and are making a wise piece of advice not to chose Clinton. I am so impressed with the non partisan advice of the Republican party. NOT.

One could conclude, because of the competitive nature of cable news programs, the “other” networks would be all over this story — forever highlighting the difference in their network. That comparative criticism is missing, and it is obvious as to why.

CBS is waiting for the “other” networks to dare say a word. I would guess every network covering right-wing formulated media is guilty of the same thing. What comes to mind is the media campaigns often used by this administration. Al Qaeda in Iraq was such a editing example. Before the Surge, everything going on in Iraq was attributed to Al Qaeda. Before it was over, Al Qaeda became the primary fighting force. Yes, from 5% influence to warranting a Surge. You only need imagine the editors saying “take that name out and place Al Qaeda in it’s place.” In the end, Al Qaeda had its day, America save the day with its Surge, and the Iraqis are living forever after.

No, the “other” networks better not say too much about their propaganda buddy. They are all the same.

If I didn’t know any better, I would say the Meet the Press interview was a planned hit job. From the start, to the end, Tom Brokaw did his part for the Republican Party. Although Barack Obama held his own in his Meet The Press interview, there is a attrition factor to account for within a conservative driven media. The more Obama is exposed to a hostel media the more the perception becomes that of conservative rhetoric about him.

It would be wise of the Obama camp, and C&L for that matter, to show bits and pieces of this interview compared to today’s interview with John McCain on ABC’s “This Week.” This should settle this claim that there is a bias in the media. Within that comparison is the truth about where the bias truly lies.

As it is, with the conservative control of the media, the powers to be in the media are making assumptions that Obama is in a close race with McCain. Nothing could be further from the truth. We must not forget the last two presidential elections were very suspicious and thought to be taken away unfairly from the Democrats. I must admit I am one of those who feel that way. The media is well into a plan to do the same. We need to get started on a Democratic plan to see that we don’t get cheated again.

Behind the strategy that withholds key facts, the media has taken sides in the argument to drill offshore. The Republicans are not withholding no tricks to win this argument for drilling.

The Democrats are outnumbered and outmaneuvered when it comes to the drilling argument. Because the media is owned and operated by conservatives, the Democrats can only sit by and watch the media frame the argument, withhold key facts, and reduce the opposition's debating point to a week talking point. For example, the media is presenting the drilling argument as if drilling will have immediate affect. Even the Republicans have said not a drop of oil will be available until 2018, and when it does, it will only affect the price by no more then two cents.

The Republicans are also hiding behind phony polling data. The question asked of the participants are misleading. The media also withheld the fact that the Republicans actually held up a bill that would of lead to lower gas prices by addressing the speculation problem.

As the Republicans scream "I want to drill drill drill," maybe they might remember that real people are hurting by this gas crisis. They need to stop playing games and the media needs to stop delivering these game to the American people. The bottom line is there has not been a left-wing driven media. Instead it has always been owned and manipulated by conservatives, and with this story, the WP is not excluded.

Where Is The Story

I view this as an opportunity to seat more Democrats in November. The Democrats have got to sensationalize what the Republicans have did to relief legislation. They have got to let the masses know immediate relief should not be politicized for something that would not do anything but make Oil companies richer.

The way I see it the Democrats need to do a one thing to be in the best position to eliminate the Republican drilling craze:

They have got to debunk the polling data the Republicans distorted to say most Americans want us to drill. This has got to be done in two ways. The first is they need to inform the voters of the bias nature of the Republican polls and sites like Rasmussen polling and RealClear politics. At every opportunity, these organization will manipulate data to favor John McCain and Republican interest in general. When Gallup worded the question in this way:

Please say whether you would favor or oppose taking each of the following steps to attempt to reduce the price of gasoline. How about: allowing oil drilling in U.S. coastal and wilderness areas now off-limits to oil exploration?

The misleading part of this question is: “whether you would favor or oppose taking each of the fallowing steps to attempt to reduce the price of gasoline.” Instead of asking the question honestly, the bias pollster mislead the responders to think drilling would bring prices down immediately. The fact about this is widely known. If drilling were to start tomorrow, it would not yield a drop of oil until 2018. There is nothing immediate about drilling.

It would be nice to make the Republicans pay for what they blocked today. Watching Vincent Bugliosi speak from a power perspective was inspiring and a model for how Democrats should posture themselves for this very misleading adversary.

Vincent Bugliosi used “the real” to steal the spotlight and shake the members of this hearing up. Although at one point during the hearing one Republican congressmen tried to make this a academic exercise, Bugliosi knows this is no debate in which each side stands on equal footing. For the first time since I became aware of the Bush administration’s defense for their actions, I got to see someone nail the truth into the room of a congressional hearing. Bugliosi is a true truth sayer who knows a crime, not a debate, has been committed by this president. As far has Bugliosi is concerned this was a crime yesterday being addressed today, so we will know how to deal with it tomorrow.

Bugliosi slang the truth as if he was using a sword of justice. He captured the audience in a way that only truth’s power will allow. I know he made a few Republicans mad angry because they could not shut him up. Oh, they tried, but today Bugliosi was in his power and he knows how to use it.

Bush’s lies has hidden behind public apathy, Republican distortions and mass denial for the duration of his term. Today the path was clear for a brief moment and I need to thank Bugliosi for his courage. Maybe, he will establish a framework for how to address this administration’s crafty ways. I sure hope so.

In all the battles of importance throughout American history, there was always footage of that battle or war stories associated with an offensive supposedly this grand. Joe Scarborough would hate me for this one: There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq to begin with. I know this because I watched the Bush administration create the myth about Al Qaeda’s dominance from the start.

On so many levels, the people of this country let this administration get away with this big lie. This lie was connected to the claim the Republicans tried to make about Saddam being allied with Al Qaeda. It was a lie in 2003 and even a bigger lie in 2008.

When the Democrats tried to make the case that Al Qaeda did not get into Iraq until America occupied it, this administration took what they could and created “Al Qaeda in Iraq.” Enter the Surge to get rid of Al Qaeda. You know, the Surge with no footage, no captured strongholds or known Al Qaeda soldiers.

In any event, with some restrictions on the press, this administration was able to defeat our ghostly enemy with ease. Today, in Iraq, everything good was made possible by the Surge.

There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq in sufficient numbers to make a Surge necessary. This must of been the easiest battle of the Iraqi war. It is evident this administration expects for Americans to forget what came before the current events in question. This has made it possible for Scarborough to make his claim “know American would remember anything about the Suni Awakening.” As a Republican, he counts on it.

Back in May of 2007, I made the claim there was no real Al Qaeda in Iraq. This claim was made as I observed the campaign of this administration make the case for staying in Iraq. At that time, Al Qaeda was doing everything. They were killing Americans, inserting suicide bombers, and holding whole towns captive. The glaring problem I had with this was there was no proof Al Qaeda did anything. Simultaneous to these claims was media restrictions that kept out any attempt to verify the claims Al Qaeda had as much influence as they did.

Enter good old conservative media, who not only advanced the Bush Party line, sensationalized the campaign to make Al Qaeda a standard player in Iraq. All of this well placed claims of Al Qaeda’s influence set the stage for the so called Surge. It is easy to win a war when there is no real opposition to begin with.

Now, ask yourself this question: Have you ever scene any footage of Al Qaeda soldiers, Al Qaeda occupation, or Al Qaeda dead soldiers? Since we just liberated the infiltrated Iraqi providences, there should be some of those patriotic stories of how “GI kick your ass Joe” wiped out a Al Qaeda strong hold. I have saw nothing, but I did see a meeting in which the story of how much money we paid to keep the sides from fighting was being told. How is that for a Surge?

If there were a competition for which was the most outrageous lie the Bush administration made, Al Qaeda in Iraq would win hands down for complexity alone. Coming in a close second would be the apparent victory associated with the Surge. There has been a whole lot of lying going on.

It is truly hard to get a complete picture of the campaign atmosphere when you have the power concentrated on one side. When the media controls the pro and the con of the issues being debated, they have the potential to create a false reality. CNN and MSNBC focused on the media’ infatuation with Barack Obama all day. The real picture could not be further from the truth.

Since John McCain entered this race, he has gotten a “free pass” from the media. On a daily bases, McCain makes mistakes that would of ended Obama’s presidency. Would you vote for Obama if he didn’t know the geographical landscape of the most dangerous part of the world? Yes, we know there is no Iraqi Pakistan boarder, but not McCain.

When you cannot conceptualize an accurate picture of what you are dealing with in the middle east, you are disadvantaged at the core of your thoughts and analytical perspective. In other words, he is out of his league. So far, the media treats McCain like he has very little negatives. This was exampled when Westley Clark made the statement being in the military, POW or any other status, does not automatically make you president material. The media framed this like if Clark was a bigot. It was simply a fact — Here and anyplace else in this world.

When the media controls how the argument is delivered, it is wrong, but when you add to that control a say of how it is defended, the reality they create is so misleading and moves into the realm of propaganda. There is often a 3 to 1 ratio in favor of McCain on the news shows. Added to this disadvantage is a Democratic defender who never seems to argue all the points. This is by design; don’t forget we have a conservative owned media. Show me where the Liberal monopoly is? I rest my case — only until the next issue.

When the MSM holds a debate, have you ever felt, the person arguing for the Left was week? I have sit on the edge of my chair yelling the truth at the TV concerning the argument. The truth never comes because the conservative media is controlling too much. One way the conservative media appears “fair and balanced” is having both sides of the argument deliver their points. What happens when one side is not arguing their points fully? You yell at the TV like a kid in a classroom with his hand in the air who feels they have the right answer.

The drilling argument is a good example for my point. I wondered why the counter for drilling offshore never expressed the key points to why drilling will not do a thing to lower prices. After the right-wing representative expresses their “we need all the contributers for being energy independent, the left wing counter is presented in a week fashion that does not include more then one point during the debate.

It’s subtle but the right-wing media is guilty of presenting the Left’s argument is a week fashion. That is just one way the right-wing media does to even the lead currently held by Barack Obama. The other way the right-wing media is going after Obama’s lead is by chopping up Obama’s message. This hits Obama at his strongest attribute. By chopping up Obama’s message, they have taken away to flow that moves the audience. This too is subtle and hard to see unless someone points it out.

It helps to be aware of the silent effective tricks the Republicans use. It has got to help to know the conservative media is controlling both sides of the argument in order to give you the impression they are covering both sides of the debate and the Left lost. A informed voter is a smart voter.

She Needs To Be More Like In The Video

Unless she says something, everyone will think it is her and the Democrats who are responsible for the “do nothing” status the media helps to promote toward congress. Really, this is the first time I have heard from her in months. The people will not know the truth about who is really holding things up unless she takes a proactive posture toward Bush, the Republicans and the conservative media.

If I never hear one more conservative commentator say congress’s approval rating is worse then Bush’s, it will be too soon. None of the Democrats are making the claim loud enough THE REPUBLICANS ARE BEHIND THE LOW APPROVAL RATINGS. If you poll the same folks who is responsible for the rating and ask who is worse, those same respondents will say, by more then two to one, the Republicans are much worse. The media will leave you with the silent impression it is the Democrats who are responsible.

Speaking of polls, has anyone notice how Gallup and Rasmussen continue to poll Barack Obama with a very slim lead? Every time other polling organizations release polls with higher leads, Gallup and Rasmussen numbers get lower and lower. What is going on is an pre attempt to soften voters up for the old “switch-arue –” some word I made up that stands for election fraud.

I am of the believe Obama’s numbers are much better then Real Clear is presenting them . On a daily basis, as the other polling agencies start to contribute to the polling, the conservative pollsters continue to fight real hard to deceiving the would be voters. Someone has got to counter the mass deceptive practices associated with this election. Don’t you think for one moment the MSM is fair; they are not. I wonder what happens to the Republicans when the truth about an issue gets out. The MSM has not kept the camera on any Democrat long enough to tell all the facts concerning what drilling will do. Instead, the Wolf Blitzers of the world would have you believe, the Democrats are stopping what the people want.

So far, it is not clear what questions have been asked of the American people, and if this is going to be a determinant, lets put it on a ballot to get to what the people want. I know the initial question asked by Gallup was misleading at best. it asked “if it would lower gas prices, would you support offshore drilling?” It is misleading because no oil will come of the venture for at least 10 years. I am not sure, after the greedy profit margin the oil companies now enjoy, the American people wants to give them the right to make this kind of money from land that belongs to the American people. At some point, does any American want to know “what about their cut in this get rich land give away?”

With the exposure to issues organizations like C&L bring, the Democrats finally are allowed to deliver the truth concerning these issues in its entirety. As it stands, the MSM will only play bits and pieces of the truth. This fractured delivery often makes the Democrats seem scattered and without any cohesive plan. The MSM are doing this very thing to Barack Obama. If you have not noticed, they are not reported his messages to the people in its entirety. The chopped up version takes away Obama’s primary weapon: His ability to speak and deliver a moving speech.

The Republicans can only get away with apathy when they can shorten, distort, or mislead issues. They have got to be a little uneasy when they saw Nancy Polosi speaking the truth. To hear Polosi say her congress has passed every bill they said they would pass, with the exception being getting out of this war, the lying Right must feel like they just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. It makes you appreciate sites like C&L even more.

Will This Be The One That Will Tear Bush’s Defense To Shreds

First let me note how validated I felt to hear University Law Professor Jonathan Turley say Bush has been using a “lets debate” tactic to get away with crimes. Until now, I felt like my claims that Bush used this as a defense fell into a black whole. I have written about this many times, and I never got any takers to process my concerns for this dynamic that seemed so obvious. Thank you very much Professor Turley.

Nancy Pelosi must reconsider impeaching, and I do hate to say his name in this way, President Bush. In fact, just as the Florida and Michigan primary voters put it, no one person or committee should be allowed to take something away from the voting public. My stomach turned when it was reported that a Democratic committee took a state’s right to vote away and my stomach still turns when I hear the Democratic leaders say impeachment is off the table. They have no right to speak for the American people on this scale.

When all is said and counted, our murderous president is responsible for well over a million deaths. Dam the torture issue because we should be talking about genocide charges. I can say this with 100% sense of righteousness afforded those who have witnessed a crime and saw who did it.

Polosi, along with many key officials, suffer from collective denial. In spite of the obvious nature of Bush’s crime, it is treated like like something less then what it truly is. How is that for denial? Somebody should awaken Polosi and her key officials. This is not a dream, nightmare or an exercise in how much patience does it take to forgive a genocide. This was real, its still real, and if it were left up to Bush or McSame, it would be real for a long time to come.

Today, I want impeachment rights put back on the same got-dam table Polosi took them off of. One of our first lessons in life is: You don’t take things that don’t belong to you.

This country is in a terrible standing posture. We are in an illegal war, the price of gas has more then doubled in the course of 6 months, and we are watching our economy deteriorate before our eyes. Yet, the posture we are in yields nothing but debate.

We need to acknowledge our poor response to any and all our problems. What is happening? Can we do anything to correct our deteriorating posture? Could it be everyone is waiting for the other person to do something, so we are in a “pass the buck” loop? I feel like I am watching the end of America as I know it go away in slow motion.

There is a method to this madness that started when Bush got caught spying on Americans. I got all ready for impeachment hearings in which a long list of additional crimes would finally be addressed. It never happen. What happen is the right-wing media framed the issue as a difference of opinion. It was those who were patriots battling those who demand freedom to have a private life. Meanwhile, the fact this administration committed a crime was lost. In affect, we took our two do nothing pills and called it a debate.

You can see the media coming to the aide of this president every time he’s did something questionable. Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, and now the Associated Press advance Bush’s need to have questionable issues be a difference in opinion. The real question is not why would these media organization do this; it is why they would not do this. They are conservative advancing conservative causes in a dying conservative era. These bastards are facing extinction of their politics, of their 30 year manipulating influence, and of their hold on those who believe they have honest intentions.

In the conservative dying moments, they have stalemated everything. We can stop this stalemate by letting your congress and senate know we need to get pass the debate deception. Something illegal is illegal. Let the Lawyers debate the validity. We can force our representatives to act in our interest because we put them their.

Where Is The Liberal Bias

The current state of the media is one sided. We all get the same opinions shoved
down our throats. If you let the current media establishment describe their coverage, they would say “we are fair and balanced.” In appearance, the media will give you a “song and dance” of two sides arguing opposing opinions. However, a closer look will reveal the “song and dance” the viewer signed up for is not the one he’s getting. Control is control; when you have it, you have an advantage.

To see this story concerning the Associated Press is scary. It means the print alternative to the MSNBCs and CNNs of the very bias right-wing media is now, you guested it, right-wing also. Now we have the right covering all bases. Oh yes, this should be very scary to all of us who know what we get from the current media is slanted, paid for, and created.

There is no Liberal bias. However, we sure could use some counter representation. As it stands, when networks like CNN does provide an appearance of “fair and balanced,” the ratio is usually three to one. I recall watching CNN’s version of “fair and balanced” once. It involved three would be Barack Obama supporters and one Clinton supporter. The Clinton supporter was also a former member of the Bush administration. Talk about “throwing a dog a bone.”Today, the same ratio will apply with three John McCain supporters and one Obama supporter. If you have not scene it yet, wait it will come.

The counter to this problems is to support a move back to fairness, assuming it once exist. Nancy Pelosi is talking about re-establishing the fairness doctrine. When that time does come, we need to support it.

They Don't Report News; They Create It

This is day 5 with this issue. Why is it getting this much press? It is obvious; the people at MSNBC are doing what they do all the time: Lying.

Yesterday, it was Dave Abrams. Over and over, he kept emphasizing the real "hurtful" comments was when Wesley Clark said “John McCain's war experience does not qualify him to be president." After 4 news cycles, this is still being put before would be voters. There are two very important dynamics being played here:

1. At this point, this is being advanced by MSNBC; it is not reporting news. It is clearly an attempt to create negative talking points to hurt Barack Obama.

2. And this is the most important point of the two. Recall Hillary Clinton ran into funding problems. In actuality, she raised record amounts of funding; still, she came up short. The reason Clinton ran short of money is because she could not out spend the endless amount of money the right-wing media has. When Obama has to spend money and time countering issues being advanced by the media, he too will come up short -- just like Clinton.

My second point brings home a much unseen unfair dynamic. The media is actively trying to force one candidate to spend money to counter their claims. It is their goal to get Obama to spend more money then he has risen. How far should the media be allowed to go?

The issue and point the right is trying to make has poor logic. It is obvious to me someone saying a war experience does not qualify you for president is not an attack. MSNBC knows this.

At this point, the media must be confronted by this dynamic and asked if their involvement have true "reporting" intentions. They must be asked why is this an issue and why are they making it one.

CNN: Clintons' game plan is not working

There are a few associated angles to look at when it comes to Hillary Clinton's campaign. In the end, it has taken a would be front runner and lowered her standings in the Democratic primary. The media is 80% responsible for this tragic negative influence.

This seem to start with Chris Matthews, who devoted 90% of his show to bringing Clinton down. Matthews went from asking whether Barack Obama could beat Clinton to making sure it happened. We all know the special negative attention Matthews gave Clinton. I ask the question: What if Obama had to pay for the attacks made on his behalf by Matthews? Would he have the funding advantage he enjoys now? I think not.

CNN, who is supposed to be the "BEST" in the business, has a obvious ratio problem when covering the candidates that has always favored Obama. The worst of this one sided reality comes during every election coverage. However, I have scene other times when the ratio was 3/1 in favor of Obama, with the one also being associated with George Bush. Talk about throwing a dog a bone.

The funding issue amounted to Clinton trying to counter media attacks along with Obama's attacks. This amounts to undue influence in the Democratic primaries. I am sadden at the amount of influence the media had a hand in.

Much should come out of this year's primaries. One is how much influence and manipulation should the media be allowed to engage in.

Finally, I have wondered why the conservative media is so much in a hurry to have Obama be the Democratic candidate -- this very dynamic was stolen and used by the Obama camp. I lied; I know why the conservative media wants Obama to run against John McCain. Its not hard to figure out. They want the weakest candidate to run in the general election. This fact will come to reality when the bias Obama now enjoys turns into a bias McCain will enjoy.

Before the 2008 primaries, there was Iraq. It consumed the internet Blogs, and I am sure made for many heated debates. Our soldiers, since Vietnam, was dying in the streets of a foreign country for reasons not rooted in the truth. This story reminds me of the old saying: If you pour water on dried shit, it will smell just as fresh as it did when was first laid.

Opinions range from “we need to be there; if not, they will come to us,” to “our president invaded an innocent country and is responsible for the murder of at least a million people.” Although I tend to be of the later on the above opinion scale, I have to omit turning my head to focus on the up coming elections. So, “round two” is here and this topic still has a lot of energy associated with it. What will the renewed interest hold?

It appears some one is counting the many lies this administration told the American people. I have always contend the American people could not see the reality concerning the war even when it was right before their eyes. They refuse to connect the dots that brought us into the war, kept us fighting the war, and the misinformation campaign to keep us in the war.

This war is illegal, and as we continue to drop smart as bombs that seem to hit their target and the innocents around it, we fuel an insurgency that employ revengeful family members hell bent on killing our troops for what we call collateral damage. Yes, the topic is back, and recently I seem to hear more American casualties, not to down play the Iraqi casualties that double or triple ours.

If you follow the progression from the start to the current surge, we have been wrong at every step. In the past, now, and in the future, this war will be wrong and no amount of debate can change it. We need to get the hell out of Iraq.

They thought Barack Obama’s appeal would never catch on as much as it did. They thought all they have to do to weaken the Democrats was to get rid of the front runner. They, the Republicans, could not of been more wrong.

Iowa must be scaring the shit out of the Republicans right now. Yes, Obama beat the socks off of Clinton in a dazzling fashion. There plan, delivered by CNN and MSNBC, may be working too well.

Back to what they know best: The usual nasty untruth made up attacks that get sensational press from the two networks noted above. By the time people figured out the attacks were made up, the damage has been done. Thanks to sites like C&L we now have counter for the lefts base. It is the independents and would be crossover votes I am worried about. However, with Barack Obama now proofing he can win in white states, you can bet the constant flood of Hillary Clinton bashing will stop.

Now, maybe, they will let the Democrats choose their own candidate. We will certainly see.

Destroying The Democratic Front Runner

What I dislike most about the media crazy directed at Hillary Clinton is has divided the Democratic Party. This divide could hand the Republicans the next Presidency.

Lead my Chris Matthews, the Republicans have initiated a campaign to destroy the Democratic front runner. Recall, Clinton had a huge lead. This lead would of been too much for the Republicans to overcome.

Matthews, on a daily bases, acts like he is Braack Obama's unofficial campaign manager. With one Washington Post poll, he's generated this conception the Democrats has a soon to be new front runner. Matthews thinks this country will not elect a Black as president. As a Black man, I truly believe this country is not willing to elect a person of color, but I will support Obama and hope I am wrong. Make no mistake, this is not a statement people of color are not qualified to be president. There many who are very capable running the oval office.

I hope he does not get a false sense of support from the conservative media. Not once has he disarmed this attempt to take Clinton out. I hope he don't get this false sense of being "just that good" he is beating the socks off Clinton. From what I see, the media is doing that for him.

Whatever, happen to sticking to the issues? It has been put to the side by a conservative dynasty that feels they are about to lose it all.The media's attempt to keep the politics negative will also be the downfall of the Democratic Party. This negativity is totally generated by the media, who is acting like a third party instigator pushing two sides to fight it out. Check out Matthew's roll of late.

I call for Democratic unity. Talk about the issues. At the end, pick the best candidate. Keep the Republicans suggestions and propaganda out of the Democratic mix. The Republicans have messed this country up for years to come. There is nothing worth while about them.

I am tired of the "got ya" press. It serves no value, other then demonstrating how much the press can manipulate what you say with semantics.

This quote was taken from the NY Times "Mr. Clinton has said several times since the war began that he would not have attacked Iraq in the manner that President Bush had done. As early as June 2004, he said, "I would not have done it until after Hans Blix finished the job," referring to the weapons inspections there before the war."

It sounds to me he was saying he would not of invaded Iraq unless they found WMDs. We know there were no WMDs. At best, he can make the same claim Hillary Clinton made: "I was fooled into giving my support to the president by faulty evidence. We know this president lied to go to Iraq. In fact the press knows this same truth.

I will take the time to express another point. I am so tired of the media flashing this one poll before the American people that shows Clinton and Barack Obama in a statistical dead heat. This is not a victory for Obama. If you wait long enough, another poll will confirm Clinton's lead. Instead of trying to make news, the media needs to just report it. The didactic nature of forcing a thought down the viewers throat as made this viewer very tired and untrusting of cable news.

Out of Washington today are reports that Al Qaeda has been defeated. Yes, the ghostly enemy no one sees has been developed to be in Iraq, killed in Anbar Province, and now have been defeated by the mighty American Army. We won after all.

With the Iraqi mission wrapped up, the US can now focus on the next evil axis member: Iran. There is one thing that now seems to be a pattern of the Bush administration and that is they broadcast their next move. It is almost like they are laying the cards out to kids: First we kill one enemy then we kill the next.

This is why I resorted to supporting which ever Democrats stands the best chance of getting these murderous bastards out of office. With only eight months in their leadership role, there is a force destroying the efforts of the Democratic Party. The Republicans see big losses in 2008, so they have “taken off the gloves” and begun to fight like they were fighting for their very existence. The Republicans control two three branches of power: The unofficial media, the executive and the judiciary.

Unlike anytime I can remember, the Republicans own the press, and they serve to mis-characterize Democratic representatives, support Bush’s wild assertions, and coordinate with the president to maximize their efforts against the Democrats. At every turn, the media is becoming ever more conservative as they compete for Fox’s title of the most conservative cable TV network. CNN and MSNBC all highlight conservatives causes all day long. This fact has forced the Democrats and the far left to the Blogs and the internet for their campaign adds. In short, the media is wilding a lot of power for the Republicans and the Bush administration.

Have you ever wondered what the overthrow of our government would look like? Would it be a slow process — slowly disregarding the core constitutional laws of our country by a president — by which the use of executive privilege is the primary tool used to initiate the overthrow process? Would the funding for such a project be masked in a eight Billion, we don’t know where the money went, dollar write off involving the Iraqi war? One law here; another law there, and before you know it, you have a subtle dictatorship. Think about the times we are in as I note this comment. The executive branch is too powerful and will not except any checks to its powers. This fact sounds like a DICTATORSHIP, and the worst could be yet to come. Bush has made Democratic congressmen look like puppets that he adjust by pulling strings. Bush’s biggest ally is his Party. Right now they are obstructing every legislative attempt by Democrats only to call them a do nothing congress later. Hell, this has worked so good some of the Democrats own members are calling themselves losers. The Democrats never scene this move coming and still cannot see the dynamics surrounding their leaders.

When the Democrats do get fed up with this president’s manipulation and power grabbing tactics, they have hope the courts — the supreme court — will make the laws of the land prevail. This branch of government is important to the scheme of things, but not the absolute force affecting the power dynamics everyday. When they do weight in on things, it will become evident why Bush stacked the courts. If Bush were to be charged with any crimes it will become very evident why the courts were stacked. Still, I hold a bit of hope for this branch to say enough is enough and not let our country be destroyed by anybody for any reason.

Stealing Is Not A Mental Disorder

Stealing oil is the primary reason Bush will not let go of Iraq. He and Chaney, and I admit this is my opinion, has made a deal with oil companies to turn over Iraqi oil revenue machine to the same interest that has our gas prices going through the celling. Nevertheless, a deal is a deal, and this president will keep his commitment to deliver the goods to the oil masters.

What is adding more pain to misery is most Americans know what Bush’s intentions are. We refuse to address some of the most obvious suspicions concerning this president. Time after time, we have given Bush the benefit of the doubt so much, the pink elephant in the room has many relatives in the same room. We will not connect the dots in ways that will allow this nation to admit we invaded a country who was not a threat to us. It should of been no WMDs no war. Still without a case for war, now I am connecting the dots, we destroyed a country and its infrastructures with endless smart ass bombs that turned out to be not too smart at all. Those bombs helped create an insurgency in numbers the US army never predicted. For every child or innocent victim, for which we call collateral damage, their Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Antie, Uncle, and pet goat became the next wave of insurgents ready to die for the savage killing of a relative. This is how American created more enemies in Iraq with every passing day.

Now, I have scene very disturbing footage highlighting the victories over Al Qaeda. Michael Ware, in Anbar Provence, took serious liberties in reporting the defeat and ejection of Al Qaeda from that city. First, the video was very graphic in showing what Sunni soldiers do to those they call Al Qaeda. Lets put it this way, they are doing some ugly things in our name, with our weapons. This Al Qaeda in Iraq claim is being used to kill many who only crime may be being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Al Qaeda in Iraq will result in lots of killings in our name.

Bush has made it worse, and anytime we get close to ending this war, he will increase his overtones of saying anything that provides the rational for him staying in Iraq. Bush is moving into dark areas of wrong doings. He will go down in history; I hate to think what for.

Lets see, they have Ralph Nader, who will take from the Democrats, Bloomberg, who will take from the Democrats, and now, a Transforming Republican, Ron Paul. That should be enough to take the advantage away from Hillary Clinton, so the Republicans can have 8 more years of warmongering rule.

Don’t forget who you are dealing with; When it comes to lying, deception and misdirection, the Republicans are masters. So they have taken the strategy: The best way to beat a Democrat is with a Republican who sounds like a Democrat.Of course this has to happen in conjunction with media propaganda that make the claim the Democrats are the same as Republicans. There are people on this site who bash Democrats in the “they are both the same Party” manner all day long. Hell, sometimes the critique of one Democratic perceived failure has been so thick on these boards, you could cut it with a knife. It appears the people want 8 years of Republican rule undone in 8 months.

If I want Democratic ideology to lead our nation, I am voting Democratic. I don’t have a false sense of what it takes to undo the damage this administration has did to our country; nor, to I have a distorted sense of being objective that would allow me to put another Republican in office. I don’t care how liberal he sounds. I recall that was said of John McCain at one point. Look how truly conservative he has turned out to be. No thanks, I will not be fooled on this one.

A Sign Of Success Is Increased Dead American Soldiers?

Bush knew our soldiers would pay the price for his new killing field he's created in Diyala province. You cannot kill innocent people when you have a insurgency problem. You only trigger the next wave of insurgent fighters hell bent on taking revenge for their lost love ones.

If you think Al Qaeda is running things in Diyala province, I have some special land to sell you. Al Qaeda's name is being used to make the same connection they tried to make in the run up to the war: Saddam and Al Qaeda are one. Bush needs this connection because without it he is a murderer. So now, Al Qaeda is running everything in Iraq. My my, just when I thought we were in a civil war.

Have anybody ever wondered why we see no examples of Al Qaeda forces? I will tell you why. They don't exist in the reality Bush and his Generals are trying to create. The only time you even see something Al Qaeda is on those poor quality videos the pop up from nowhere and cannot be traced. They are never in English, although they are intended for Americans.

I said it first, there is no Al Qaeda in Iraq running the fight against US forces. However, if they can call one side Al Qaeda, they can eliminate one side in the civil conflict, thus, a stop in the violence. Don't forget no one is going to complain about a few dead Al Qaeda soldiers, for that matter, no one will complain about thousands of Al Qaeda soldiers.

Support Hanging On A Thread

I too was very disheartened by the Democrat's one weak moment. By withdrawing the time line language from the funding bill, they really blew it. However, I was unaware we, the Democrats, had given our leaders a one time get it right mandate

This is a very complex political time. The Democrats are in the position to take over the now one sided political landscape. The last thing I would want to do is turn my support into talking points of doom.

I recall, in doing complex math problems, you have to concentrate on the step by step intricate requirement to get the problem right. I was allowed to miss one question and still get an "A" on the test.

In a non perfect world, the more we allow ourselves to be human beings, complete with making "some" mistakes, the less stress it takes to do what we have been entrusted to do. The way I see it no one will even take the job on if they only have one chance to get it right.

We must also follow the criticism. I found myself arguing this very issue with a Republican who did not state that very fact up front.

My last point is this: We cannot miss the opportunity to pick are leaders up after they have crashed and burned in a political battle. As supporters, we must find out what our rolls should be and play them as well as we give criticism.

If Bush Goes Down, So Should His Party

I cannot see how the Republican Party can separate themselves from the dark leadership inflected on the American people. By supporting a made up war, by not providing the oversight that would of stopped Dick Chaney from making secret oil deals, and by allowing Bush to make up scenarios that ended in supporting spying on its own people, a case can be made for blaming the whole Republican Party. That is just a few; there are many more negatives associated with the Republican Party.

Now, the Republican candidates for president want to put nuclear war on the table as an option of choice in dealing with Iran. Anyway, why does America feel they should be the country saying who should use nuclear weapons when we are the only country to use them? Nuclear war in this time is so uncalled for. Not one of the Republican candidates seems to value good old diplomacy. Kill, kill, and kill our enemies, for that is the strong "Republican" way.

The Republicans will have to put themselves in a hole just to get to be the "one" representing their Party. Let’s see, the candidate has to be against evolution, pro nuclear war, and pro Iraqi war involvement. That is scraping the barrel on some of the most negative issues in this country, and this is things candidates must believe to represent the Republican Party. No, it is not just Bush who is unpopular; it is their whole Party that is unpopular.

Will We Ever Connect The Dots?

From the run up to this war, to the continued waste of human life, we have not connected a logical series of dots that would explain and free us from this war.

We know the truth; I almost hate to say it because its been said so much. There were know WMDs, which were the primary reason given for going into this war. Well get this. Today, our president reflected on what he told Saddam Hussein he needed to do to prevent this war. Give up the WMDs and disarm. I recall Hussein's officials frantically denying any existence of WMDs or any plans to acquire them. Our president had the nerve to say it was Hussein's choice to go to war because he would not heed his warnings.

The saddest thing concerning Bush's reflection is he could not say there were no WMDs, and he was wrong. After 600,000 lives loss, this Mother f*cker is still talking as though he found the WMDs. Hell, look at the video just before this one. He is either drinking or in denial so deep he cannot face any reality associated with the massive loss of human life. He has to obtain some sense of glory or he has to face the fact he is the same murderer Hussein is.

Even more sadder then Bush's inability to accept the truth is the media's inability to report the most obvious portion of the speech he gave today. This man said Hussein's failure to heed his warnings and disarm resulted in him losing his life. No one reported this obvious inability to trace the most important factors concerning this war. This is a man who is the most powerful person in this world.

The Republicans are scared shitless of Al Gore. Behind Gore's current fame lies an formidable opponent for which the Republicans cannot match with their current slate of candidates.

Since Gore left the political arena, he has increased his speaking abilities two fold. Gore can move people with his motivational style of speaking better than anyone currently running for president. This is a fact not known by most Democrats. I personally feel Gore speaks better then Barack Obama and Clinton. That puts him up there with the best.

Gore would be the ideal candidate to address the abuses of the Oil companies. Who better to lead the fight against the Oil Companies and the cable news companies who have taken to the airways twice an hour telling their viewers to believe the Oil companies absurd reasoning for high prices. MSNBC should be boycotted for this kind of propaganda.

False Comparisons Make Way For Killing Field

There has been a up tic in claims Al Qaeda is behind much of the killing in Iraq. In most news coming out of Iraq about attacks on Americans and civilians, there has been an overuse of the word "suspected to be" and "sources say" Al Qaeda is behind the attacks on American solders. Because we stop going after the people who brought down the two towers, Bush has taken a lot of heat. This heat has brought about attempts to make the case Al Qaeda has taking over Iraq. The premise Al Qaeda is behind all and every attack coming out of Iraq is another way of asking permission to kill more Iraqis. Many Americans want to see Al Qaeda whipped off the face of the earth.

There are two important facts about this current attempt to strengthen the claim Al Qaeda is firmly embedded in Iraq:

1. The first is now the war in Iraq is now connected to 911. Yes, they are trying to make the case we cannot leave Iraq because Al Qaeda is there. How is that for making it so? If you cannot find Al Qaeda, bring Al Qaeda to Iraq.

2. The other reason is the only way they can really do something about the violence in Iraq is to address the direct true elements causing the war. Since the Bush administrations say there is no civil war, they have got to find a way to eliminate one side of the civil war. Thus, any over kill can be assumed to be Al Qaeda's demise. This amounts to creating a killing field.

The Bush administration cannot do this alone. They need someone to disburse this lie Al Qaeda is behind all the killing in Iraq. Enter the media: Fox news and the Fox wantabees. Look for a lot of "framing the issue" kind of news. CSPAN's Washington Journal will do it with a question: Should we leave Iraq if Al Qaeda is so entrenched in the Iraq?

The lies and misdirection concerning this war never seem to stop. Before believing anything coming out Iraq, it is almost a must to second guess its content.

This president is responsible for killing close to 1 million people, and yet we don't even want to say the word IMPEACHMENT. Our congress, senate, judges, Generals, and voting public have been educated from the best schools this world has to offer, and they cannot "connect these dots" that now stand out like an emergency signal. Some how we have put a regulator on the truth in this country. One big example of that is the FACT there was no WMDs, but there is still 29% of Americans who want to KILL anyway. What the hell is really going on? I say take a deep breath, and examine what you could never get away with as a citizen. This country needs to drop this notion that we have to "Win This Thing." WIN WHAT. The right to kill more innocent Iraqis, or shell I say "collateral damagees."

Yes, now there is talk about putting a "strong" man in Iraq to quiet the warring factions. After that is done, then they will place a democratic government in power. What they really mean is kill untold thousands more Iraqis to wipe out anyone not fighting for the Americans. After the killing is done, then, yes you guessed it, we continue to close our eyes as we have been doing.

It's coming to this rage in me, and I just don't want to take it anymore. We were once a proud nation in my life time. To see that image wiped out in 6 years have hurt me more then my personal life losses. This has got to stop.

I have heard everything. Now, the Bush administration has stop counting car bombs. No wonder Bush has been claiming there has been a drop in violence since the surge.

There has been a surge in media propaganda. CNN's Michael Ware has toned down his bleak assessment of the Iraqi troop occupation to say, in affect, in spite of our solders being picked off in a military quagmire, we should still continue our occupation of Iraq. To see Ware and Kyra Phillips sitting in a chair side by side resembled two kids being chastised for saying bad things.

Ware contends "we broke it; we have got to fix it." This brings into question is there a inherent biases associated with interacting with military personal. With so much emotional realities about, the opportunity to bond is increased ten fold. People bond through emotions. 9/11 will contest to that. To have our troops, Iraqi troops and the Iraqi civilian population dying around you, the moment to bond is as common as air.

The other side of this is the wantabee like Fox dynamic being carried out by the CNNs and MSNBCs of the world. These networks compete 24-7 for the conservative markets that spend big advertising dollars. Yes there is money behind this shit too.

I just watched Governor Huckabee increasing the fear ante by using a genocidal hypothetical should we withdraw our troops. This means the Republicans have already made any negative outcome associated with a US withdrawal from Iraq with be the fault of the Democrats. A prediction that will come true no matter when we leave.

Now, the Republicans feel they have the rational for not acting in the will of the American people. "It might come down to doing what is right, in spite of what the polls say. We cannot leave the Middle East to a ethnic cleansing or genocide," Huckabee said. That is fear with a capital "F." You don't get anymore phonier than that; I just hope the American people can see this overused tactic.

We need to tell the president and the Republicans to save the fear for a useful Halloween. For once we must ask the Republicans to say what they mean without fear. I am willing to bet they will change the subject quick; real quick.

At every opportunity, we must give our representatives who are doing what they were put into office to do our support. That support does not always have to come in the form of money. If you dispel a talking point, deliver inspiration, or volunteer you time, you will be doing your part to right the wrongs of the pass 6 to 12 years.

Who Is Responsible

How can we say we improved the Iraqi's standard of living? The US has made a mess out of Iraq. No hype. This is the real consequences of our actions: We have brought nothing but death, destruction and pure hell to the Iraqi civilian population.

What can we "win" from this situation? Have we even defined victory in Iraq? I hope Bush's intention are noble because, I will not support any attempt to steal Iraq's oil.

The sad thing is we have already did so much to ruin Iraqi lives. Many of the civilian will be messed up for their short time on this earth. I am not sure the average American really gives a dime for the suffering Iraqi.

We don't even acknowledge Iraqi loss in the same way we acknowledge our own. Since we have been in this war, the number of Iraqis killed on a daily bases far out number American solders. It is almost like we have dehumanized Iraqi life just enough so Americans back at home will not be outraged at the staggering losses brought on by OUR involvement in Iraq. Could that be why we called Iraqi civilian loss "collateral damage?"

I truly, from the bottom of my heart, hope the unnecessary killing and destruction stops soon before it reaches genocidal preportions -- if it has not already.

Developing Reality Perspective

Paul Rieckhoff exposes a disconnect between propaganda and the truth. While the White House is working hard to minimize realities, they could crate a situation that kills more Americans.

This whole thing is sad. Bush is incompetent and should not be running this war from "his" commander and chief position. I state this with a sense of urgency because I, like Harry Reid, don't want another drop of blood lost to this senseless and unnecessary war. The loss is too precious, and President Bush appears to be "winging" his position as the leader to the most powerful nation in the world.

If the Bush administration, the Republicans, the Democrats, and the press won't force the reality perspective, we as activist and voters must make it the dominant conversation in the Blogging world and any other medium we can use. I know I am serious enough to remove the denial that keeps us in this horrible war and put in its place a truth's perspective to what lead to this war, what motives we use to stay in this war, and what realities make it necessary to remove our troops from this no win scenario.

We must keep the logic flow simple. What we say and continue to see did and is happening. No more rational explanation based in a small avenue of doubt. When the truth is looking at you, call it what it is, not what someone else explains what it is. In short, this war must end.

The media is in need of a serious overhaul.

News has taken a
serious "hit" to the quality of their objective, reporting and
fairness. Since the Fox news success with conservative audiences, CNN
and MSNBC has actively positioned themselves to compete with the big
money Fox enjoys. This is a fact not an opinion.

The unfairness associated with media's move to the right has no equal
dynamic to counter the now flooded cheep format right-wing news
generates. Even CSPAN practices a right-wing format on their
Washington Journal. CSPAN is in so much denial about their move to the
right, and as a result, they tend to play a patronizing concept to
fairness.

So, when you get the feeling the news host or
commentator is being unfair, he/she probably are. Actually, the
arrogance that accompanies the conservative formats is insulting to
one's intelligence. CSPAN's call in structure is set up to give the
impression the country is split down the middle on all conservative vs
liberal debate issues. They have one phone line for the right, one phone line for
the left, and one phone line for the independent. About 70% percent of their
guest are conservative. They often make a request for conservative
callers only without doing the same for the left at an equal rate.

When you hear the right claiming we live in a left-wing bias news monopoly,
it's not true. They call the right wing claim "playing the ref."

For the left, the fight to regain balance is not just in the executive
branch of government. It is the media routed strongly, so they have
their work "cut out" for them to even the political play field.

Lies vr Reality

I hope the Bush administration and our military are not becoming victims of their own propaganda. Along the lines of believing their own lies, I hope they have not created a alternate reality that is too far from what is really going on in Iraq.

Maybe they were all out looking for cheep rugs. You have to believe a lot of energy has to spent to keep the lies about this war believable. This effort may be the very thing that is keeping our military from being affective.So, have we sent our solders to Iraq to become fresh meat for the insurgency to pick off ten at a time -- as opposed to one at a time?

Yes we may well be mind screwing ourselves for the sake of rugs and propaganda.I don't think this is funny at all. But when you look at the outrages statements and comments being made by the right-wing congressional and senatorial representatives visiting our troop, you have to make them aware of shit for brains comments and statements they bring back to the American people.

It is really becoming evident, we cannot ask our troops to hold out until the surge starts to "kick in." Every life is too precious to factor in the lost of human life for success in Iraq. This war must stop and, in it's place, a serious effort, grounded in the truth, must be put in its place.

Yes, we broke it and must own it, but I will be dam if we have to do stupid shit to fulfill a group of war mongers desire to "win this thing."If we want victory, it will have to take on peaceful attributes design to problem solve this terrible situation we have created.

I have come to the conclusion we have not grasped the magnitude surrounding every contributing element fueling this war. With the understated hundreds of thousands of Iraqi protesting on the anniversary of this war, a clear message was sent to America to get out of Iraq.

Does the United States military have to suffer a slaughter to see was is so clearly on the horizon? I sure hope not, but sometimes if you see your strengths from another ankle you empower yourself or objectives.

With our so-called smart bombs, we have killed a many innocents. This fact alone is responsible for brother, sister, mother, father, uncle and the dog becoming insurgents. Multiply that dynamic by 4 years and you have insurgency from hell.

I don't know about you, but it takes more than the desire to "win this thing" for me to be patriotic about this war. I refuse to get behind this president for a "pick of the week" rational for killing so many. I am not sure if the supporters of this war even know what they want. They say we need to "win this thing" and in the next statement proclaim it's the Iraqi responsibility to defend their own country. So is "Winning this Thing" training the Iraqis to defend their land? If so, why do we need the show of so much force? Hell, we can train them and go home. What a sweet victory that will be.

I remember a unprecedented move to train our military in civilian crowd control tactics. This happen last year and it was controversial because it was considered a move that could give the executive branch too much power. I feared it was Bush's slow move to a dictatorship.

As it stands, 70% of the American people want this war over with. The other 30% want to "win this thing." I don't know about you, but it looks like we may be headed down the road I feared. Bush refuses to hear the will of the American people and is lining up to make moves on other countries like Iran and Syria.

When Will we say enough Mr Bush it's time to listen to the American voice to stop this war?

Don Imu's actions was a very difficult complex story to write on. In one way, I wanted to say give the guy a break, let him say he's sorry and go back to work.

While having that fleeting opinion, Don Imus blurted out "you people" on the Al Sharpton radio show. He then went on to say black rappers were,in part, the reason he made the statement.I then changed my opinion and sentiments to maybe he does bare some unpopular racial views. Often, people who have negative racial feelings toward a group or race, qualify their good actions as proof they don't have any racial problems: "Some of by best friends are black."

Still, as Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton made this a national outrage, I could help but feel this was still not being addressed in a fair manor.

There has been shock jocks who offend minorities, handicaps, homosexuals and the elderly. Why has it taken Jackson and Sharpton, and the rest of the do gooders, so long to say this kind of speech is hurtful?

Can we say Bill O'Reilly, Russ Limbaugh, Mike Savage and the many others right-wing hate mongers, have not crossed the very line Imus in being fried for?

I truly hope what comes out of this a better standard to hold the shock jock to. After this, maybe it will be harder for someone to say the things that shock and offend others. Nobody given the power to reach the masses in the way Imus could should be allowed to spread hatred. Not just Don Imus and rappers.

Slow Down The Fight; We Must Make It Right

The recently fired US attorneys story heard in a Congressional hearing yesterday could bring all the president's me down. It is hard for the White House to use the defense of reducing the issue to public debate.

In essence, the Bush administration is trying to strong arm our system of justice. They have a lot of media support for this dynamic. Today, CSPAN's Washington Journal tried to frame a dynamic that would give Bush unreasonable powers. Brian Lam posed the question: Is it okay for our Government to lie to us. I say this is a form of framing an issue, and like always, Washington Journal's style is subtle but always to the right of the political spectrum. CSPAN is one of many right-wing shows given the silent task of framing the conservative agenda.

The Democrats have many mandates. They must not reduce their efforts to respect the people's wishes by doing every mandate at the same time.

As it stands the Republicans appear to be geared up to fight against the people's will all the way to the next election and we must let them. When the 2008 election arrive, the voters will have a fresh perspective of who has been obstructive in the process to give the people what they want.

Who Do We Support: Our Troops Or Bush?

Is there a difference between supporting the troops and supporting George Bush? To support the troops is to do whatever is in their best interest. This may not be what our president think is the best for our troops, especially when our president continues to connect the wrong dots to our current involvement and run up to the war.

If I never hear we must fight them over there so they do not come over here, it will be too soon. That does not make a bit of sense, yet this is now one of Bush’s primary reasons for fighting this war. Behind the noted rational to fight in Iraq is a silent statement: We must kill in the Middle East because those people don’t mean as much as Americans. Bush’s assertion silently says every Islamic terrorist in the World reside in Iraq, or at least the ones with a ticket to America. The terrorist in Afghanistan don’t have the money to come to America. How convenient is that?

We, the Democrats, must do the right thing that is based in past truths. Let the Republicans continue to support George Bush, with little true consideration for the well being of our troops. History will record, after the truth smacks Americans in the face, the Democrats attempted to deescalate this useless war. At least some could rest with the fact they tried to do right thing.

Who Is Doing Well?

I am not surprised to see the many complaints about our so-called trieving economy. Everyone with no money can't wait to say something is not being considered when they evaluate our economy.

I recall before the start of the 2004 presidential campaign there was serious concerns for the state of our economy. During this time, Bush started counter claims, not measures of substance, the economy was better than it was being reported. Today, we have an out grow of that claim, only now Bush has placed cronies in places associated with our economy to spin the one percent who are doing really well. A look at the Oil companies will be the only example needed to highlight that one percent. Today it was reported on CNN; Exxon Mobil was making $79,000 per minute in the year 2006. That is a lot of god dam money.

How long did Bush think he could get away with this one sided economy? As I see it, this strategy is working in the negative for him. Bush does not care at this point; he is on the way out, and I am sure he will be rewarded well for his contributions to the wealthy.

The media is so responsible for the delivery of this false Bush economic recovery. How many times have we had to endure hearing the six o’clock news tell us the market is doing well and so is our economy.

On the horizon, the Democratic victory in November has slowly turned the nature of what is reported to us in favor of some truths. We must tell the media we are tired of the one sided version of the news, and turn certain channels off until they change their ways. We have some leverage to hit the media where it hurt the most: Their pockets.

Standing For Change

If we are in a time of progression, and we don't back track, we can say goodbye to the right wing politics of old. No longer will we be tricked into voting for something dressed up to be something else, who can forget the scene the Republicans created when Jack Murtha voiced his concerns for the polices our troops had to endure in Iraq.

We need only look back on the 12 years of Republican rule, so we can learn from their mistakes. No one should be given a blank slate of power in our 3 tier system. No one.

So now that the "station" has been changed, what is the new program going to be? Will it be much of the same thing? Will there be only a change in players and style in which to play the same old special interest shit?

I know this about the incoming Democratic players: Most of them have a true and noble objective to help the masses. We will need to support the up coming efforts to change the status quo with pride and assurance we stand for something good.

The politicians will not be the only body tested in this changing of congressional and senatorial guard. The very people who put them into office must be willing to support, articulate, and stand firm on what has to be done.

We must face the truth to tell the truth, and when it comes time, flow with the very power truth generates toward change.

Once the truth is known, it must not be dressed up to fit the status quo, which is what Bush plans to do in a week from 1/4/07.

When Bush speaks to the Iraqi solution or what he thinks will save lives, the first thing to ask is why did we have to wait until January for the solution because anything imaginable devoted to saving lives should be in affect now. Politics of this sort rides on a tin line of withholding dynamics that would save lives.

The only thing left for this horrible time in our history is living in the hard fought process for Democratic solutions and change.

Reforming Everything

Now that America is in the sweeping mood, we should take a look at the press. Nowhere is there need to reform the false form of reporting the news as there is in the news media.

The people highlighted as Democratic examples of corruption have not been arrested for anything. You would think from the latest Washington Post article, especially in case of Rep. William Jefferson, there are indictments or people found guilty.

I have often wondered why Jefferson’s case has been just hanging out there for the Republicans and now the WP to take off the shelf to use in any way they see fit. It is time this stops. It is an assuming form of reporting.

If I never see another special commentator for the rest of my life, it will be too soon. There is nothing special about partisan opinions. I hope we don’t forget to begin the process to reform this aspect of our society

Will We Kill All The Killers?

Americans, and that includes me, have a silly tendency. Here we have a poll showing Saddam Hussien is not hated as much as our own murderous president, and we will do everything we can to minimize this reality. How silly; how convenient this is.

Yes, President Bush has blood on his hand. This explains why he will not change his views on why we went to war. He knows any change in his reason for going to war would accompany a charge of genocide. This man is responsible for many lives that had nothing to do with Saddam, harming Americans, or fighting our armed forces.

Why so many had to die for nothing has escaped scrutiny of the American consciousness. We continue to feel we are righteous liberators of a repressive regime, avoiding an ugly image associated with killing innocents.

Now we have come down to killing Saddam. Will we measure ourselves different? Will our media machine work overtime washing their part in hyping the killing of innocents as something non-important, or even worse, not reporting it at all?

What we have admitted to we called it collateral damage. The name alone dehumanizes the seriousness of killing human beings.

I was almost in tears when I heard our president consider it important to wait until January before he delivers a solution to the Iraqi situation.

If it is a crime to be an accessory to murder, what is this? Surely, many will die if there is a delay to any problems concerning the Iraqi situation. Yet, when Bush does give his so-called solution to the Iraqi problem, and he states it will save lives, no one will dare ask him why in the hell did you wait until January.

This is serious, and yes, lives are at stake, Iraqis, Americans and allies. It's no wonder Bush's is loosing core allied support.

We must bring this problem into the proper focus. We deserve a solution NOW.

Pink Elephant Theory

From the first day we set foot in Iraq the second time, we have did nothing to improve Iraq's position in their region. I would argue our part in the Iraqi problem eludes debate or recognition.

We invaded Iraq for something they did not have: WMDs.

We have tore the country apart, and the Iraqis should be so thankful for that. From above, we have dropped death in untold numbers. The exact figure is being debated in cold third party terms. Almost as if we were referring to something less then human. Certainly less then our troops, who we call "our boys."

So what makes insurgency? Could the term "collateral damage" illicit a clue? No mention of this dynamic in the study group, or at lease, I have yet to hear any mention of the loss of innocent life.

Republicans and Democrats seem to accept the vagary around the collateral damage issue. Somehow, in a child like way, grown adults play a "out of sight out of mind" game that places the ugliness of what collateral damage has done out of their consciousness.

The Study Group needs to address the collateral damage factor with just as much intensity as whether we should pull our troops out of Iraq. Until we have, our collateral damage will enlist mama, daddy, brother, sister and dog as insurgents against the US. What would you do if someone kill your child for no good reason or any reason for that matter.

What Are We Doing?

With all that has been said about this war, I have yet to understand fully why we fight. In fact, I fail to see why America finds it acceptable to kill so many innocent civilians under a dehumanized term such as "collateral damage."

Camelot times with Martin Luther King's dreams filled my naive view of the world with good intentions to make the world a better place. So what happened: I grew up.

Never a time has life been so cruel to wake up in a world different from the day before it. Suddenly knowing what this country is truly capable of doing in its righteous arrogance, that, for which some would call genocide, we would be responsible for so much death.

This war in nothing but a show for the military brass, who are bent on making war films for the next generation, complete with the latest "smart ass bombs" that underestimated the damage it causes. So much so, we had to create a category for the people killed by their destruction.

No, I am not worried about the radical Muslims taking over our country. I am more worried about what collateral damage and smart ass bombs has done to civilians.

We All Knew Something Was Wrong

Rumsfeld is but one card in Bush's deck. I recall speculating the Bush dynasty would not make it through the second term without being impeached for something we have yet to discover. I still make that claim.

The partisan Congress and Senate Bush enjoyed falsely encouraged his power dynamic. Bush developed an air of invincibility as he pulled right up to edge of illegal tactics with his torture and surveillance tactics. Plenty would say he went over the illegal line.

Now, its apparent Bush as not got a clue on what to do with Iraq. He expects to force the Democrats to take the blame by playing a post election game called "what will the Democrats do."

Well, I am a Democrat, and I can tell you what we should not do. Democrats should not let Bush or the Republicans make them look like fools solving the war problems this president created without the information and intelligence only this administration has been cleared for.

First things first, we need to stop our killing of innocent civilians in the name of "collateral damage." Even I have lost the high level of pride I once held for this country’s military. 600,000 collateral killings are over by about 599,000 because we should not be in Iraq to begin with.

America get ready. This war will not end cleanly. In fact, unless we find away out of this hell soon, we will lose more than pride. I say lets cut our losses and theirs and run. Fast.

Win What Thing?

Really "lets win this thing" does not sound like a strategy to me. In fact, I am not sure what "win" constitutes when it comes to Iraq. Nor am I sure what or who "thing" is. I do know this: 603,000 total lives have been lost in the name of "winning this thing," and 600,000 of those who lost their lives get to be called "collateral damage."

I would like to see the American public back the execution of Saddam Hussein for killing between 30,000 to 60,000 Iraqi people for whatever reason, without coming to the conclusion we have did worse in the name of "winning this thing."

All loss of life has one thing in common: it's over. This country and other countries that seem to hold their military objectives above humane responsibility have missed a very important consideration. You can't kill innocent people in the name of something stupid.

In WWII, the situation was different. This is no WWII. In fact, the reason for this Iraqi war was generated for less than emergency reasons. No, the first order of business for the new Democratic congress should not be oversight. It should be to stop the killing in our name and put substance to the objective "lets win this thing."

There is a very important truth concerning denial the Republicans don't seem to get. It's not a river in Egypt. Everyone knows that line except the Republicans.

Do you think it will take them 2 years to understand the importance of being truthful to reality and self? I know one thing: They should stop getting on national prime time TV obviously fooling themselves to the facts surrounding their lost of congressional power.

The Republicans got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Take the cookie out of their mouths and examine why it is important to ask for the cookie. Don't continue to slam the cookies in your mouth. I learned this lesson in my early years.

So far, before the campaign, during the campaign, and after the campaign, the Republicans continue to spin every issue before them. You cannot deal with reality when you don't acknowledge it. You can't create reality by spinning it. You must face reality to start the process of effectively dealing with it. It appears the Republicans simply need to grow up, face up, so they can begin to catch up.

Excuse Nancy Pelosi if she happens to make some Republicans concerned. It should happen, we voted to make it happen, and if it does not happen, the Democrats have been tricked into starting off on the wrong foot.

With our acquired congressional power advantage, it may appear the Democrats moved the rubber stamped Republicans aside to claim the title of the bipartisan rubber stamped Party. Simple: no change, no difference in political ideology. The Democrats will be on the 2008 express train to powerlessness.

There has been too much work put into restoring balance to our government. So far the media have highlighted and framed the Republican spin: The only reason we made a big sweep on Election Day related to being like the Republicans. What a sick form of denial.

With "the Democrats are the same defense" in full swing, it will be difficult to focus on the important legal questions concerning the sexual exploitation of our nation's innocence by the the biggest hypocrite ever to walk the halls of Congress.

Spin, the ugly signature of medias contribution to our political process, has surely gotten in the way of the pursuit for truth, and this Page incident will bare that out. Unless the Democrats have a factual contribution to the Foley incident, they should be left out of it. I don't need a history lessen, in the form of a score card, telling me we really need to focus on the Democrats because they have gotten away with more then Foley ever will.

Without the Foley incident, the Republican backed Incumbent revolt nearly succeeded in two more years of total Republican rule. Yet, somehow I feel the Democrats will still have to watch out for a generated issue from the right. I hope not.

America and Britain are so "on it" when it comes to exposing terrorism; they both knew of a plot to explode planes in mid air but could not do a dam thing until they busted the so called Pakistani bombers. So, right after the plot to explode plains in mid air have been exposed, the terrorist alert is out and the now comes the obvious spin game.

One obvious questionable fact is the alert for this terrorist plan was escalated when they found out the so called bombers were making attempts to book flights. The press was clear to point out NO FLIGHTS WERE BOOKED, so why would the Bush administration raise a terrorist alert after they stopped the plot and placed the would be terrorist in jail? I know why; does poll numbers and November elections stand to increase with such a report? Spin baby Spin and there is no one who knows how to Spin like the current administration and the Republican Party. In fact, the way in which the right wing press reported this was made to order for the President's ailing poll numbers. The overplay for this so called plot is so big it may backfire on the paranoid right. At the time of this post, there was talk that the Governor of California was talking about enlisting the National Guard to help with Airport security -- the only place the terrorist are allowed to attack from. I feel so safe.

At a time like this, the press really shows its greedy colors. With the sensation button in one hand and the made of order special professional guess at the ready, the press launch a ruthless parade of endless, "what ifs," political and one sided scenarios dedicated to educating and misleading issues their target audience want to hear. The sad part of all of this is the truth gets buried and very hard to distinguishes from the hypothetical. It is no wonder this countries get so many issues wrong when trying to find solutions; we need only look at our process for gathering information verses our unconscious need to be sensationalized while our Politicians try to gain political "one up man ship."

The title suggests there should be an upgrade to the always appropriate slogan "cut and run." As adults, we should not be so taken in by this kind of suggestion: I am not sure what a "cut and run" is. Is it a person? Does a "cut and run" person have cooties or smell bad? I know a "cut and run” person is something like what happen to the word "Liberal." All of the sudden, as a "Liberal," I drink cool- aid and want by country taken over by terrorist and aliens, both out of country and outer space.

I know all this conjecture is not true; I am just wondering when we gave the opposition the unchallenged right to define who we, meaning Democrats and Liberals, are. How else am I suppose to feel about the truth about Iraq? I am sorry but I really hate what we have done to the civilian population in Iraq. It amounts to murder -- in this case, a very high class elitist murder cloaked in patriotism. When you look at the truth and the facts surrounding this War, I find myself looking for the honor we use to carry as a standard for the world to follow. So, I too look to Bush's Supreme court lost concering Guantánamo detainees as a blessing that could bring down Bush's misrepresentation of the American spirit. I would love to few our war resolve as a necessary option only used to save the lives of others in imminent danger. I do not feel the kind of honor and pride afforded our soldiers in past wars. How else am I suppose to feel?

At all levels of our 3 branch Government, a realignment is needed; someone like Al Gore or another power house needs to step into this fight and stop this attack on its structure.

Something must be said for the predictability of this current situation with the gas prices. For the last 5 years, the Oil companies have been testing the Market to see what it will bare; this testing allowed me to see a predictable pattern that still exceeded my expectations in how high gas prices would become. I remember reading somewhere gas prices would rise to a very high level; then, Mr. Bush would save the day by returning the prices to the previous level. What a strategy for the incredibly shrinking, in poll numbers, President.
From the very start of the price dynamic we are currently in, I was very concerned about the lack of outrage that was victimized by diversion tactics that played out in the form of headline news. Everyday, early in this month, and all of last month, there was something in the news big enough to keep the puplic from any concerned inquiry about the rise in gas prices. From immigration to leaks within the White House, there was always a issue and when things became dull, we found out our President was the source of his own leak investigation. How is that for a diversion? In any event, the puplic is now involved in what I fell will lead to the undoing of this National rip off.

I wonder what ciritics thinks will come out of confronting the lack of confrontation from the the media. At best, the press will be lucky the land on the right side of an issue; they have no commitment to journalistic excellence. In fact, the only beholding dynamic the press respects is ratings and it's ability to crate news to fit the new race to the right wing media slant. In today's political arena we have a lot to be concerned about. The lost of left wing power within the three branches of Government have created "black Hole" for everything people orientated to fall in. From laws to legislation, 40 years of hard earned Democratic ideals, that some have lost their lives for, seem to be falling by the waist side.
There is some light at the end of this fall: the 2006 elections should be the first major offensive from he left. As it turns out, the same power the Republicans fought so hard for will be their own demise. Absolute power corrupts, and we all have been witness to a lot of "good oh boy" corruption. Why is it so hard to hear what the Democrats are trying to say? Could some of Democrat's words be falling in a vacuum to briefly surface at the sole recall of Democrats only? It just seems, for the sake of politics, the critical points concerning our, I am a left leaning card carrying Democratic Liberal, positions get lost in the debates. One example is the Democrats claim they were given information to fit the Bush administration's wishes to go to war, not the facts which was not provided to those who voted to give Bush authorization to go to war. Another lost point is Murtha's initiative was not voted on; instead, a plain statement to withdraw the troops was submitted by the Republicans, which did not have any of the considerations noted in Murtha's initiative. There would be no argument if the positions held were clearly stated. The only thing left would be to prove or disapprove the positions in the debate.
Somebody clearly does not want to clearly define the debate; without clear delineation of the arguments, we cannot move to the who's telling the truth or lie stage. Time after time, the media and the Republicans claim the Democrats were given the same information as the President, and no one voted for Murtha's initiative. That is, in both cases, a poor delineation of the arguments at hand and will not go any further because the arguments lacks agreement on its foundation. When you factor the media's constant need to hype, distort, or crate information related to an argument, you get a dysfunctional triad that seem to run counter to any form of true problem solving. It is no wonder many Americans have lost hope in our media, Congress and leaders to solve our nation's problems. There is one word all three subjects in the triad adhered to: replacement.

The Democrats could be losing this argument concerning the sequence of events that took place in Congress on Friday, November 18, 2005. All media accounts indicate "Congress" acted like unsupervised children. When you view the tapes and follow the FACTS surrounding the argument, a clear distinction comes into view, and you clearly see the ill effects of globalizing taken form. The Republicans tried to present John Murtha's, a Democrat, bill in their words. This one fact has been so under reported by media and Republicans alike. What the Republicans did should be the first reply to any recounted attempt from Democrats. The attempt to blur the facts of how this argument became a spectacle
is a tactic so often used under the "Fair and Balanced" claim by the media. I could not count how many times the media has used this concept to make opinion and lies legitimate issues. Globalizing the 2004 Party candidates was the primary factor to why Democrats lost ground to the Republicans. It's logical to keep the status Que if both sides have been pegged as the same. Democrats cannot afford to be viewed as having the same attributes as the Republicans, a point that should not be hard for them.
For what happen in Congress on Friday, viewers would be hard pressed to see the spin has fact. Increased exposure, thanks to CSPAN, has and will make it difficult for the Republicans to lie as they once enjoyed. Before its over, I put my money on the Republicans moving to have TV out of Congress. Since the close of the Senate -- a special 21 rule -- to move into a close session, the left as awaken to fight. The Democrats, or the so called Liberals, have awaken to ask the important questions about how we got into a occupation of another country fighting for oil that is not ours. You can trace the Black Republican form of compliant thinking to "Uncle Tom's Cabin." It is a sad under-researched dynamic spawned from slavery as some slaves took many measures to stop some of the physical and separation abuse imposed on them as a means to control them.

To cope with the many beatings associated with plantation life, Blacks were forced into compliance. You need only to go to a land where you don't understand the language; add to this someone beating the skin off your back for words you can't seem to understand. By the principles described in conditional learning alone, Blacks understood a basic rule to survive, and not get beat, was to comply. Doing what they thought the masters wanted them to do was quickly learned and passed on as a survival technique.

The house slave is a direct product of compliance to avoid beatings. As those who understood this concept most became trusted and delegated to instruct other slaves who did not know the rules and language, thus, the Uncle Tom was born.

From the very beginning, the Uncle Tom thought he was better than the others because he could speak like the whites, dress like the whites, and if given the chance, he could even criticise like the whites. There was only one glaring problem to Uncle's Tom's status: he was still black.

Throughout the years, the Uncle Tom's need to demonstrate this extreme form of compliance has evolved to the now Black Republican, complete with his so called "just like Whites" conditioning, but now he's joined a political Party that seems to give his status a true sense of belonging and that is the Republican Party..

If "A" and "B" are true, than "C". The Former is a simple formula for the truth, it is also the same formula being used by the Bush administration to generate untruths. I call the equation the "logic flow" formula. This is the very means by which are President is feeding the American people the untruth about Iraq and the War on Terror, where "A" = Terrorist who hate Americans, "B" = The need to defend America from the Bad Terrorist and "C" is equal to invasion of Iraq to spread Democracy so the Terrorist will change their minds or be killed?
Now if "A" and "B" are not true, then "C" will be ineffective and could be considered a contribute to the very problem that is up until now not Identified. The equations does not account for the money involved or the special interest that can be attribute to a false equation, but if you use the formula, you can point to the logic flow needed to gain support for the actions taken in Iraq and the War on Terror.
